Wane's Wigan...

Post by SuffolkTiger » 14 Jul 2017, 10:55

The league table and their recent resurgence had made me flag them as bit of a threat. After last night's showing I think I got that wrong. Very ordinary.

In fact, I have to say that I actually felt sorry for SW having to come out of hospital, sit in pain and watch that and then have to face up to the SKY post match interview on his crutches and not be able to hide that the pain from his hip was nothing when compared to how he felt after getting beat in his own front garden by a struggling Wire side..... tongue out of cheek now - I loved it and it was great telly..!

Finally, a bit advice for Sam Tomkins regarding a full back place for the World Cup at the back end of the year - get on one of those ancestry websites and see if you have any Scottish blood in past generations......

For me it is the Wigan style of play that is most disappointing.
They used to be renown for quick open rugby, what they serve up now is dire.

Having said that, they have had success playing this way. What would we rather have, entertainment or success?
