Some are losing the plot completely!
And they call this the Nutjob forum !Wakey Express, Yorkshire Post , Evening post have a link with Box, Councillors has family connections to reporters, information from club goes to reporters who pass it on to Councillors who then keep Box informed. If I was in charge of club I would ban all Labour Councillors from the club unless they publicly state that they oppose Box and his cabinet in regards to the councils position re the 106 agreement at Newmarket.
I would also ban the press who have been reporting fake news obviously just reporting Box`s smear campaign propaganda

There is some really weird ideas going on over there at the moment. I personally like the train of thought that WTW will just rock-up at Dewsbury and part own the stadium. Hilarious !And they call this the Nutjob forum !

Fev disappointed that WTW have not taken up their offer and haven't received an official reply from the club but heard about it second hand :-

The offer is still on the table.

Carter now claims Newmarket isn't yet dead and has had some optimistic meetings this week with the council.

Re: Wakey to get new ground maybe
latest is that carter has said Newmarket isn't dead. the planning and every thing else is in place they just need to find at least£10 million. Some one on their forum (bless them for they mean well) has suggested bucket collections.

Re: Wakey to get new ground maybe
So am I right in thinking that they either find £10mill and start building or the development hits the trigger point and they can start building and it's paid for by the developer?lurcher wrote:latest is that carter has said Newmarket isn't dead. the planning and every thing else is in place they just need to find at least£10 million. Either way if they're talking about it not being dead if the can find the money then reading between the lines they must have finally concluded the trigger point is never gonna be reached
Re: Wakey to get new ground maybe
That's the problem with the agreement they had with the developers, they had to build a set amount of the retail park before the stadium will be built.
Their is nothing stopping the developers building just under the trigger point, and then stop building, meaning they aren't in breach of contract. A very poor agreement by all concerned, perhaps that's why Cas wanted the stadium built before the retail park.

Re: Wakey to get new ground maybe
Heard a beauty yesterday - WTW are looking at a move to the John Charles Centre formerly known as the South Leeds Stadium (Hunslet). It only has one main stand with a capacity of 4,000 but the club are looking at renting a couple of movable golf stands (like the one used at Hull KR a couple of seasons ago) to get it up to the 7,000 mark.

Can't see that but stranger things have happened! Reckon they'll end up at Dewsbury.Tigerade wrote:Heard a beauty yesterday - WTW are looking at a move to the John Charles Centre formerly known as the South Leeds Stadium (Hunslet). Looks like the storm clouds are gathering over WMDC offices! An article in the daily star that's since been picked up by the independent has set their fans off emailing/twittering etc all and sundry in local and government office and the press. Could be some awkward questions coming the councils way over the next few weeks.
What I don't understand is why they've not done this before ?

Re: Wakey to get new ground maybe
As I understand it the trust have tried being "nice" about it, negotiation etc, but that seems to be a brick wall so far. I've no idea how the Daily Star and the Independent got hold of the story but they have so there is a little momentum building for questions to be answered. Apparently Peter Box is having all E mails etc diverted directly to himself so he can deal with them personally. The plot thickens.WallTiger wrote:Looks like the storm clouds are gathering over WMDC offices!
