What Happens?

Post by Normy Knight » 11 Sep 2006, 02:18

If Whitehaven win the GF? RFL will be in a bit of a predicament won't they.

All the more reason to scrap P+R I say.
Carlsberg don't do Soldiers, but if they did, they would probably be Brits.

One of the two teams playing on Saturday will lose most of it's players only to find out that they aren't going down.

My point exactly, the GF should be played earlier, with the NRC being the finale.

I mean the team that is relegated yet again starts on the back foot again signing on players nobody else wants.

It probably won't happen but it is a scenario and to date the team that wins the NRC have yet to be promoted.

Come on RFL stop faffing about scrap P+R.

Straws for the clutching of are not needed,we knew how tough it would be and if we don`t survive we should go down with our heads held high.We should not look for excuses to stay up,it`s the system that needs changing yes,but not at the expense of our credibility,it must be changed in the close season to be fair to all clubs.I believe we can win and therefore remain in SL,it`s going to take an immense effort from all concerned but win we must.

Not cluctching at straws MM, just making the point P+R should be scrapped, and this scenario would not have arisen if there was'nt any, thats all.

Don't worry too much NK, Hull KR will make more than adequate replacements for the Pussies. :D

Sorry but have to disagree, If it weren't for P & R what would the bottom 6 teams have had to play for over the last two months.

I don't remember too many fans calling for the scrapping of promotion last season when we were in NL1 & how arrogant is it to now say scrap it at the expense of teams with wonderful, & longer histories than Cas, such as Widnes or Hull KR.

Just because the Aussies don't like the concept that doesn't mean we have to follow like sheep

If Haven win the GF no team will go down (Unless they let the GF runner ups into SL)

Why dont they make the winner of the play offs of league one play the team that finishes bottom of the Super league ( obviously not including Catalan) to see who gets the place in SL.

Thats what John Kear says. But do you think we would have won Widnes or Leigh last year, Personally i don't know as i never watched SL last year so i couldn't tell how poor both teams were.

If Whitehaven do win then I can see a couple of legal challenges.

Not often we agree, but we do on this one . ;-)

Maybe they don't want to stand down because they want to rectify the mistakes they've made in seasons gone by.
