Has signed for Leeds on a loan deal until the end of the season. Another chance to see whether this guy is up to Superleague standard

Re: Luke Briscoe
Or you could say lurcher that they would never stand in the way of a players development... in reality they get more leeds players on duel reg so they cant complain
Re: Luke Briscoe
Would love to have him at Cas.

I know dez mate but why don't they just come out and say it? I was just being a bit tongue in cheek.Dez wrote:Or you could say lurcher that they would never stand in the way of a players development... in reality they get more leeds players on duel reg so they cant complain

Re: Luke Briscoe
Leeds must have pout a good deal in place for Fev to let their top tryscorer go. It'll be more likely a one or 2 match deal to cover hall on England duty. Be gutted for Fev if they missed out on the middle 8s because of it!

Re: Luke Briscoe
Well they get him back on dual reg so it'll be a 1 week loan or something equally ridiculous.mart0042 wrote:Leeds must have pout a good deal in place for Fev to let their top tryscorer go. Re: Luke Briscoe
It's really strange that isn't it. They sign him on loan until the end of the season, but he can continue to play for Fev through dual registration - effectively they get a player they own back on dual reg!TheSheriff wrote:Well they get him back on dual reg so it'll be a 1 week loan or something equally ridiculous.mart0042 wrote:Leeds must have pout a good deal in place for Fev to let their top tryscorer go. Re: Luke Briscoe
It seems like they have been a little loose with the term 'loan'.
Leeds have signed him permanently until the end of the season, with the ability to dual reg him back to Fev despite all the websites saying loans - confirmed in YEP by Pete Smith. Leeds as the parent club then dual reg him back as part of the agreement.
This is the only way it could happen otherwise Leeds would've had to have kept him for a month before he could be recalled by Fev.
Seems like both Fev and Leeds will make a call on his future at the end of the season but wouldn't surprise me if Fev already have him signing a new deal permanently starting from November.

Re: Luke Briscoe
Wouldn't be shocked if this was Fev clearing some cap space and getting to keep Briscoe too.

Building to bring in players for the middle 8's possibly?TheSheriff wrote:Wouldn't be shocked if this was Fev clearing some cap space and getting to keep Briscoe too.

Re: Luke Briscoe
Leeds won't loan then anybody if they are in the middle 8s. Dumb move. If they loan him back to Fev he had to be there 28 days before recall aswell.JIN JER wrote:Building to bring in players for the middle 8's possibly?TheSheriff wrote:Wouldn't be shocked if this was Fev clearing some cap space and getting to keep Briscoe too.
Re: Luke Briscoe
After a certain date you can’t play for another club you are either at the parent or duel reg club not both.

Re: Luke Briscoe
Briscoe should now be on a 28 day recall and then Leeds need to decide to keep him out reloan him. Sounds like a shocking bit of business.
Unless they and fev are going to keep buying and selling him so he can play for both sides each week.
Nothing would surprise me.

Re: Luke Briscoe
Leeds have signed him permanently. He’s on dual registration at Fev, not loan. He can play for both sides until the Super 8s.
At that point either Leeds keep him and he plays for them only or he stays at Fev.

Re: Luke Briscoe
So with our players at dual reg clubs we have to wait 28 days unto we can recall but Leeds don't have to? We couldn't get jy back when we needed him. Are Cas doing something wrong it is it because he's not an overseas player?HuddsTigers wrote:Leeds have signed him permanently. He’s on dual registration at Fev, not loan. Re: Luke Briscoe
Bradford are not our dual reg partners, if Jy had been at Fax then we could have taken him back when needed. Unfortunately Fax didn't think he was good enough for them
Re: Luke Briscoe
Jy wasn't on dual reg he was on a months loan and we would've agreed to the no recallmart0042 wrote:So with our players at dual reg clubs we have to wait 28 days unto we can recall but Leeds don't have to? Re: Luke Briscoe
No, we can call back dual reg at any time as we have done with Tuoyo Egodo, James Green and Will Maher (who have been at our dual reg partners).mart0042 wrote:So with our players at dual reg clubs we have to wait 28 days unto we can recall but Leeds don't have to? Only loan deals are 28 days with no recall. So Jy, Gill and Clark were all loans.
They are two separate things. Once a loan goes past 28 days it can be renewed again or it can remain on a rolling loan and the player can be recalled at any point.
