Re: Ben barba
the longer he was on the ground the more he seemed to deteriate and the more worried the medical team seemed to be. the camera panned to Holbrook, wellens and McManus and they all looked worried. started of with shoulder and ended up in neck brace and body board.

Also he was clasping his hands.lurcher wrote:the longer he was on the ground the more he seemed to deteriate and the more worried the medical team seemed to be. the camera panned to Holbrook, wellens and McManus and they all looked worried. started of with shoulder and ended up in neck brace and body board.
Looked like he’d got pins and needles.
Which is not a good sign.

Re: Ben barba
He is there number 1 player. They'll be worse without him.
I suspect they will fall back into the pack if he's out like us without hardaker.

Re: Ben barba
Not a serious injury apparently.
Pleased to report that Ben was cleared of any serious injury last night after being seen in hospital. He will be assessed by our medical team this morning and we'll update you all later in the day.

I don't see it like that. If he'd said.....Let's hope not hey...that would be terrible. (Without a :-)) I'd have agreed, but putting in the smiley suggested to me he was being sarcastic.old cas lass wrote:Don’t think he actually said that.JIN JER wrote:You want to see Barba have a nasty injury?Tigerwood posse wrote:Let’s hope not hey ... that would be terrible :-)

Re: Ben barba
I don’t wish harm to any player but Mr Barba is in my opinion everything that is wrong with superleague. A mercenary drugs cheat that was at best average the last few years in the Nrl and now is marketed to be the greatest thing since sliced bread by Sky Sports.
As for his “injury” can’t say I’m surprised there’s nothing wrong as he’s a reknowned diver/play actor.

Re: Ben barba
Glad he's okay , been fantastic so watch all season . Yes paid his dues for what he did and deserves to be back playing at the top table . I'm sure all Saints fans know deep down he's too good to stay .
Re: Ben barba
You aren't really suggesting that Barba pretended that he was injured, the guy was in agony FFS.tallguyx wrote:I don’t wish harm to any player but Mr Barba is in my opinion everything that is wrong with superleague. Re: Ben barba
Did anyone else notice that Barba was holding his left shoulder when he went down but when you watch it in slow-mo it is his right shoulder that takes the impact. Strange.
Re: Ben barba
Noticed that myself, I actually winced as his right arm hit the deck till I noticed it was his left arm/shoulder he was holding. It was indeed odd.Tigerade wrote:Did anyone else notice that Barba was holding his left shoulder when he went down but when you watch it in slow-mo it is his right shoulder that takes the impact. Re: Ben barba
Sky touting him as a future man of steel not a good advert for the game.
Re: Ben barba
Whatever your views on his past indiscretions there is no denying that he is absolutely class as a player and a joy to watch. One of the very few highlights in a pretty dire opening half to the super league seasons. Saints are best team to watch by a mile at the minute.

Saints are fantastic viewing this year like we were last, it just shows the value of a world class full back.

Re: Ben barba
I don't think it's coincidence that Saints are now performing like we were last season and I can only put it down to the input of the full backs. Whether it's a case of the individual players or the fact they play full back may be open to debate but for me it has become the crucial role in RL, one in which you need an expert and not a stand in.Sharlotiger wrote:Saints are fantastic viewing this year like we were last, it just shows the value of a world class full back.
I can only hope Trueman will develop into one of the best, which I believe he has the skillset to do.
