GALE DEPARTURE CONFIRMED
Re: Gale
There’s no way Gale plays any rugby this year whatsoever. Even if we reached the GF by a miracle.
Okay, I’ll contradict myself now as I’m rhinking ahead to next year *only*.
let’s say he gets to be training full pelt for a month, proper full on pace and contact, I’d maybe give him 15 from the bench on a couple of games but that’s a massive risk in my opinion. I’d much prefer just full on training then a full pre season and friendlies.

If hes fit, he's fit and must play. His latest injury was a freak thing.Mysterio wrote:There’s no way Gale plays any rugby this year whatsoever. Even if we reached the GF by a miracle.

He is our best player and so vital to us.

Re: Gale
Didn't we lose Gale pre-season, in a training session?
I only ask I see no reason why a fit player can't just play. Having a good pre-season in itself is risky so may as well just do what you get paid for - playing.

Re: Gale
The way cas are going this season hes got more chance of getting injured in training than in a game.
CLASSY CAS FOREVER
Luke Gale
If he is able to get fit in time would you risk him in the playoffs (if we get there obviously).
I think it’s worth a chance

Re: Luke Gale
It's not about risking him,it's about where he is at now and where he will be rehab wise at that time. Gale should be on a ladder system where he does so much each day and if he has any after affects.if at some point he gets to a stage where he can participate in every activity including contact without any adverse affects then matty will make the call. If he his in any doubt that slight niggles are still affecting him after any training then he won't risk him. However if there are absolutely no niggles or swelling then another 4 months off won't necessary make the tendon any stronger.

Re: Luke Gale
Will be a pre season friendly the next time we see Gale. He's tried as hard as he can to get fit, but at 30 and the extent of his injury, it's not healed as quick as he probably wanted. Powell has said he won't play this season and I'm happy with that. Heard they had a little disagreement on this, as Gale said he was doing all he could to be back and Powell said no chance, it will be next season now.
Re: Luke Gale
to me it is common sense to leave him out this season ,two or three months we start preseason training a gradual build up to make sure he is up to speed is the way to go

No, even if we make top 5, we're nowhere near good enough to win the grand final. Best thing we can do now is prepare for next year with a solid pre season.tallguyx wrote:If he is able to get fit in time would you risk him in the playoffs (if we get there obviously).

Re: Luke Gale
If the medical staff declare him fit and injury free he has to play. Only if there is something to play for.

Re: Luke Gale
Just gonna bring this back to life.
Been told tonight he’s definitely going to Leeds for next season. Not saying it 100%, but very close to it.
So let’s say he is going.
Who is out there that we could bring in for next season. Don’t think there’s to many quality half’s about.
Should be interesting seeing who we bring in.

I heard Leeds had shown interest again once they had missed out on Hastings.old cas lass wrote:Just gonna bring this back to life.

Who knows with this one. It would be a gamble for both clubs.
There’s a chance he will come back and be as good as he was, in which case we will want him in a Cas shirt and bemoan the club if he’s at Leeds.
There’s a chance he will not come back as good as he was, in which case we’ll wish he was in a Leeds shirt and praise the club for allowing him to leave.
Flip a coin.

Re: Luke Gale
Apart from Danny Richardson and possibly Dec Patton, can’t think of any more decent halves that might be available in Super League so I suppose we’d have to look overseas if we have any quota left. Personally can’t see why Gale would leave us though. Interesting to see you said you’d heard he was definitely going but it’s not 100% though OCL.
Re: Luke Gale
Firstly I'm not a person to really listen many rumours but if Leeds we're after Gale, he's still in contract until 2021 so money will have to change hands for him. Would that leave us the money required for the Zak rumour???
Don't like the idea of paying money for Zak, we've already lumped up 150k.

If we ever sign Richardson my season ticket off in bin
