I would love Zak back. But I'm not sure I would go that far. Their partnership was unplayable at times.

However if we could do that and get Hastings in.....
He's 31 next month. I just think if we can get Zak back and use Gales wages on another scrum half, we'd get the better deal.
Wow I'll have some of what you are on. A player that has been sensational and served us with class and dignity from day one for a drug fuelled basket case that has already proved what he thinks of us, ie zero respect.
Would be terrible business and Wigan would be laughing at us AGAIN.

Why would Gale go the other way?

Mitch Clark is going. Depending on the terms of Zaks contract.

Mitch leaves early without a fee in a swap for Hardaker. Would work.

They have Morgan Escare. We can move Pete to centre.

Not that I believe it will happen due to wage demands

Tbh Zak looks the best player at Wigan. Can't see him leaving or coming to us.

As good as Mcmeeken is swapping him for Hardaker would make us a better and more balanced team imo.

We have more alternatives in the backrow in the current squad and it's easier to recruit a quality back rower than a quality fullback.

this backrower is an England international.
Young and his better days to come.

Yes we have lots of back rows, Holmes, Clarkson, moors, Jesse. Apart from Jesse not one is a patch in Mcmeeken.

I think we have to get getting back hardacre out of our thoughts it won’t happen.

In my opinion it would be crackers to do a swap for pretty much anyone. Taking Zak on is a risk, you never know when you will lose his services from the team, if you swap a player you’re essentially risking being two down from your squad.

It does make me wonder why Wigan are so "allegedly" keen to let Hardaker leave after seeing him through his court case etc.

It also makes you wonder why they keep knocking on our door for our players.

To be fair Zak got more caps than Mcmeeken and would have been the 1st choice international full back in the England team that Mcmeeken played in were he not banned.

Agree regards the relative quality of our backrowers. I'm just of the opinion that an international quality full back is more influential and Harder to replace than an international quality backrower. Although I'm fully accepting of the risks Zak brings.

I'd add Mcmeeken is out of contract at the end of 2020, so we could lose him then anyway (sure he would attract interest from top superleague, NRL and big spending Toronto).I'd guess any contract with Zak would run to the end of 2021 or 2022.

Hope not. Meeks has years left in him but won't get a shot at England with whitehead and Bateman in front of him who are both based in oz under the nose of the England manager.

Any truth that Adrian lam is not keen on hardacre at full back and he’s trying to bulk him up to play loose forward.

Why, is Lam replacing Powell and bringing Hardaker with him?
