Just flicking through Wigan forum on rfl fans to read that one of there fans seems to think we’ve signed Zak for 2020

We do miss him a huge amount in attack.

We really were spoilt with him and Gale in full flow

Edit: Just seen the poster, someone who acts like he's in the know, remember him been 100% positive that Darryl was going to be the next wigan coach when shaun left...

It is on the Wigan Forum and there are quite a few posts about it. The OP states Zak to us and one the other way but won’t be made public until the end of the season.

If the Fages rumour is true is a half going to Wigan?

BTW I have no idea, no secret contacts in brown overcoats or aunties with a dog in the know, just spreading rumours on the rumour page!

I think zak offer alot in attack but offers more with his defence on the goal line and the way he sets up the defence.in 2017 he was brilliant at this.i could see it being true as dp didnt want to get rid of him in the 1st place.its just no good if u swap zak for gale,we want them to play together

No, no and no again.
Firstly, he’s a ticking time-bomb in terms of screwing up. His defence at his WADA hearing was that he has a mental illness that means he cannot make rational decisions. Why on earth anyone would sign a player who is almost guaranteed to press that big red button labelled “self destruct”?
Secondly, he spent his time away from the game developing an alcohol problem (and worse if rumours are to be believed). Perhaps his performances in 2019 are down to abusing his body rather than any kind of style of play or attacking structure? Who says he’d suddenly improve in a different team?

I haven't seen anything in his Wigan performances that suggest physical deterioration tbf.

Funny how we all see things different. I think he’s been Wigan’s best player by a mile this season in a poor team, and had it not been for some of his defensive work Wigan could well have been nearer Leeds and London level than where they are. I would love him back but I’d be amazed if Wigan would sell/release him.

In a heartbeat on the right money and terms of contract.

Still don't think he's fully fit but offers more in attack and defence and suits our style of play.

Realistically. I don't think he would sign for the money we should be paying and every player has a price.

I'd take Zak coming back and Gale going the other way everyday of the week.

I would love Zak back. But I'm not sure I would go that far. Their partnership was unplayable at times.

However if we could do that and get Hastings in.....

He's 31 next month. I just think if we can get Zak back and use Gales wages on another scrum half, we'd get the better deal.

Wow I'll have some of what you are on. A player that has been sensational and served us with class and dignity from day one for a drug fuelled basket case that has already proved what he thinks of us, ie zero respect.
Would be terrible business and Wigan would be laughing at us AGAIN.

Why would Gale go the other way?

Mitch Clark is going. Depending on the terms of Zaks contract.

Mitch leaves early without a fee in a swap for Hardaker. Would work.

They have Morgan Escare. We can move Pete to centre.

Not that I believe it will happen due to wage demands

Tbh Zak looks the best player at Wigan. Can't see him leaving or coming to us.
