Sadly I can't see that happening, his defensive frailties are also a concern.

We have struggled to attract a quality winger and have opted for the cheap option far too often. Joel Monaghan, Egodo, Clare, Paddy Flynn, Ashley Gibson, Minikin, Hitchcock, Ben Crooks to name a few.

Of course, every “Cas can” has a season ticket. All those without one aren’t Cas fans then based on your comment?

I will reserve judgment till I see him Friday
But your right casmania pointless signing a quality centre like Blair if you make a poor singing to be his wing partner

Not necessarily, Jamie Lyon n Matt Gidley managed to do a job with Ade Gardner who i thought was 1 of worst wingers about.

Lyon and Gidley were quality and would make any winger look good to be fair. You only have to look at Eden for the last 2 years compared to this one. Quality service gets you a bucketful of tries.

our own Greg Eden top try scorer when he was getting quality ball with the likes of Gale and silly Zac setting them up,it seems ages since he made a break on his own, I have not seen enough of Olpherts to make judgment but according to the stats he is a good returner of the ball making good metres , I watched the lad when he played amateur his position was full back

All valid reasons for not renewing tickets as priorities change, jobs dictate and sometimes finances do too.

My point is how many may not renew due to the last 2 seasons, this one in particular? When you see the signings for the future, Blair aside, have not been inspiring. Watts last season was a quality signing.

When you look at history how many times have we been in a good place only to not back it up and move backwards due to poor decisions on and off the field?

There will be people that renew all the time but how many will say enough is enough? Not a thread about who is better or more loyal or a “True Cas fan” and people with valid reasons have a fair point.

People’s circumstances do change and ticket sales do reflect this but once a fan decides enough I’d enough then do they and will they ever come back? The club must surely be very concerned at the dwindling crowds this year already and this will continue if we keep losing.

We see and hear Jon Wells telling us to be patient and judge him next year then we sign a player that isn’t an inspiring signing judging by comments from fans, the very fans that may not renew.

Who knows what the rest of the year may bring but if the club aren’t very concerned then we are in trouble.

I’m seriously considering not getting one for next year.
Not because of the recruitment though it does dishearten me.
Mines health, finding it harder to stand for a great amount of time without being in a lot of pain.
Yes we have seating, but the space in that stand would make it worse.
I’m not saying I won’t and I’m not saying I will just now.
Will see who we bring in in The next 3/4 months, then decide.

If it’s true we have signed this olpherts, if spelt wrong ah well, while not the best of signings he’ll get the benefit of the doubt from me. If he proves to be a shrewd signing or a bad one time will tell.
what doesn't kill me simply makes me...stranger.

No, but neither has Clark going to Wigan. Not sure when the date is when clubs can announce.

Yeah sounds confusing, bit early yet.
I’ve struggled for 2/3 years with my health and standing.
I’ve persevered with pain and discomfort.
I’ve alway put the club before my health.

If the club via bad recruitment don’t care about the fans, then it won’t give me motivation to keep pushing my self to go. And push my self I do sometimes.
I love the club, been part if my life for 60 years, but there comes a time when you have to cut back on walking down the lane standing for 2 hours then walking back up the lane.
It’s hard sometimes. I won’t the club to give me that motivation to keep on pushing my self.

A lot of people are unhappy ocl it's not that we've got bad players all of a sudden wattsy mcmeeken would be wanted by most super league teams gales England's half back if he comes back as good as ever truey won young player man of steel Milner and Holmes played for England and England knights last autumn
It's a feeling we've yet again not kicked on from a perfect chance we had in 2017 as had happened every other time we've had the chance in the past with poor recruitment - retention and let the chance slip

2017 we knew we needed a fullback, we stalled in getting one.
2018 we knew well in advance jake was leaving, stalled again.
Not sure who is to blame wells/Powell/Gratton, but someone is.

Now we need a prop and a winger, especially if minikin is leaving.
It disheartens you. Well it does me.

I doubt he will be backup. Anyway I'm happy to give him a chance
He will get a chance like everyone gets when they join us.I just personally don’t think he an upgrade on minikin if that’s who he is replacing
