So the majority think he’s an idiot, but would like to see him on the field now, then get shut at the end of the season when his contract runs our.

No rumour of him coming to cas.

Dez wrote:He due back in court in May so seems highly unlikely to be coming as with visa requirements would be July at earliest. Also Manly are sticking by him and are supporting him .Maybe no cones required
Banned from playing nrl isn't he? Maybe a loan deal till his bans up?

The RFL have been quite clear that players who are suspended in the NRL are banned in SL. They made Barba sit out his 8 match suspension in 2017 and they’ve said his lifetime ban also applies over here.
The only difference I can see is that Walker is one of the players suspended on a “no fault stand down”, but I can’t see the RFL going against an NRL decision.
He’s also due to stand trial for domestic abuse. That situation needs resolving before anything else happens. If charges are dropped or he’s found not guilty, he’ll re-join Manly and have plenty of NRL offers for next year. Is he’s convicted, he’s likely to be given a lifetime suspension by the NRL that will also apply over here, and be unable to get a visa anyway. That’s before we even consider the implications of signing a convicted domestic abuser on the reputation of the club.
Given the issues surrounding Walker, I’ll be extremely surprised to see him playing in SL for anyone in the near future. He’s either going to be banned forever or resume his career in the NRL.

Didn't think anything of this rumour, but heard from a mate in Oz that it seems he could be on his way! Very good player, not a great human by all accounts.
