Apparently players free to leave. Anybody we would take? Gelling?
Re: Widnes
We don't have quota spot available.
Unless the RFL give dispensation for players like they did when previous clubs have gone into administration.

We didn't have one when we signed Matautia, we had to release Jy.The Fox wrote:We don't have quota spot available.

If we really wanted him someone would have to make way.

Re: Widnes
Not to be pedantic but Leigh did not go into receivership - they cut players to hit a budget.
If Widnes go into admin as Bradford did then if it follows the same form overseas players are given one years grace to find clubs without counting on the cap

I’d take Imosi Koloto in a heartbeatSuffolkTiger wrote:Kurt Sorensen still there?
Re: Widnes
I would definitely take Gelling. If they go into admin he won't count on our cap this year I'm pretty sure.
Re: Widnes
I think he’s Clint on the cap but not on the quota. Bit like when players like Celtic Crusaders.Swagger wrote:I would definitely take Gelling. If they go into admin he won't count on our cap this year I'm pretty sure.
Re: Widnes

Wouldn't have said so it's a community stadium I think. Hence the 4g so can be rented to others and used all year round.

Re: Widnes
There's life in the old dog yet.
Fans and we'll wishers already raised over forty thousand pounds, which l believe is ring fenced Ti stop the. Administrator using against existing debts.
I really hope the RFL take a good look at the financial health of all clubs to protect them as well as ensuring creditors get paid.
Unpaid debts are a huge issue for small businesses.

Re: Widnes
I'm hearing they need 350k plus. Apparently they owe ground rent, kit money, coaches wages. I don't know if that's to complete the season or to stave off liquidation.
The problem is that it will only clear the current problem, there'll be others looking for more money soon.
They seem to be ring fencing money to rebuild not pay debt. Which would mean liquidation and nowhere to play?

Re: Widnes
I would imagine the liqudator would want them to keep playing there hoping to get a 6,000 plus crowd against featherstone wether they will be allowed to go ahead with the game is another matter
