Thornley was highly regarding once upon a time, does anyone remember the fuss when he went to Catalans, Wigan were very upset about it

I agree I know DP has worked wonders with a lot of players no one wanted but if we signed any of Thornley Griffin or Runciman Powell would have magically powers to make them world class

Another players out of contract according to the thread on RLFans

Aaron Murphy. Always seems to play with a lot of heart and seems solid.

Agree he's solid but lacks pace now,his best years are behind him and would he improve us. Not IMO he'd be a squad player at best and we've enough of those.

Whys egodo not being considered rather than journeyman didn't he score three trys in one of his few games you can't have a attitude to our young players unless you've got the ability of trueman forget it your unlikely to get more than one or two games

We have a good squad but an aging squad we need to only add 1-2 each season and slowly let 1-2 go and this pre season shouldn’t be any different

I would take thornley he never got going at Catalan but he was pretty good when at Wigan. He's got a good pair of hands and is a decent size probs not huge wage. One thing u notice watching the playoffs is that our back line carry are pretty shoddy compared to others with the exception of Eden we miss electric pace big Pete is a unit driving forward but would be nice if we could find him an extra gear for next year in pace terms that's where qlt was good like dorn had a quick blast of pace.

We’ll still be there or there about a I hope next year but we must improve the backs to have a real change teams below us and saints and wolves have all strengthened !
