Sounds like he’s turned Catalan down and Bradford could be his next destination.
Jy more or less let it out the bag this will be jakes last season at cas.
Will be a sad day.

Been a great servant if true and will always be a favorite darn lane
Re: Jake webster
Good work by John kear if he's being able to sign two players who played in last year's grand final
The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have

Been a great servent to the club will be sad to see him go.
On another note wonder if MATA'TUIA is Jake's replacement?
If so looks like we're still looking for a full back.

Re: Jake webster
no disrespect to Jake as im one of his biggest fans, but why would catalans want him?
Re: Jake webster
Because he is a very good experienced player and I have no doubt he would still do the job in 2019.yorky wrote:no disrespect to Jake as im one of his biggest fans, but why would catalans want him?
Re: Jake webster
but at 34 the poor lad takes so much damage in tackles i cant see him carrying on much longer, i wish we had had him years ago.
Re: Jake webster
He’s not ready to hang his boots up, so will sign elsewhere. Disappointing because I think everyone including him hoped he would finish his career with Cas.

has it been confirmed that hes leaving us?SREGITSAC wrote:He’s not ready to hang his boots up, so will sign elsewhere. Disappointing because I think everyone including him hoped he would finish his career with Cas.
Re: Jake webster

I hoped that he would end his playing days at Cas and then move into a community role or similar, I think he would be fantastic doing something like that

Re: Jake webster
What a player he has been. Put his body on the line. Unlike my old man and his before I didn't see the pre 80s Cas, but Webbo ranks among the best three quarters I have seen wear the shirt.
After that injury hit first season and hearing what some HKR fans and players suggested about him I was not impressed bit he has well and truly made me eat my words.
Class bloke. Class player.

Re: Jake webster
I know having spoken at lenght to Jake that he wants to move into The media / marketing role and has an interest I’m player welfare too.
I think his heart is staying but maybe somebody like John kear or similar will offer a 3yr deal to secure his young family’s future.
Personally I think he’ll stsy and progress here

Re: Jake webster
It seems every time Jake gets tackled these days he gets up like he's been hurt. Time to call it a day has one more pay packet in the lower league could cost him his health and without your health money means nothing [-(
Re: Jake webster
I’ll be gutted to see go the guy is a shining example to any young player. I wish we’d signed him 10 year ago.
what doesn't kill me simply makes me...stranger.

Re: Jake webster
If this is true, and whatever the future holds for Jake. I hope he's lifting the trophy in October, he truly deserves it.

Re: Jake webster
If he's part time at Bradford he could work for Cas off the field. Ian Hardman has done it for years playing at Fev but works for the Rhinos during the day.
