Powell to Wigan ?
Talk on the Wigan forum is Powell as signed in principle with them next Year but still in talks about the assistant coach. Anyone else heard anything ?

Problem is with this type of rumour it unsettles the fans
I’m hoping it’s some little scrote (can I say that) that as stired the pot and spreading stuff like this to unsettle us all.

Then should the club come out with a statement stating such a thing to put every1s mind at ease

Isn’t he under contract with us until 2020?

No they shouldn’t. If they put out a statement on every rumour that “unsettled the fans” they’d get no real work done.Bolton-tiger wrote:old cas lass wrote:Problem is with this type of rumour it unsettles the fans

I wouldn't rule anything out but it doesn't strike me as plausible...

What livid Cas got beat by a far better team? We've been beat many times before and he as always faced the cameras. Definateley more to this than just getting beat.old cas lass wrote:Nothing he said had any indication he wants to leave.westerbeast wrote:Powells comments after tonight's match? my gut feeling is he won't be at Cas next Year.

He is massively frustrated. Pretty obvious. Doesn't mean he is leaving.westerbeast wrote:What livid Cas got beat by a far better team? We lose Wardle last week yo add to the injury list. Tonight Junior is lost amd finally get Benny back and he tears a hammy again.
We have a totally makeshift first 1-6 and it is crippling us despite having as good a pack as we have had in the last 20 years.
Defensively we were very soft at points. Saints are the best side in the league but getting beat easily is embarrasing for people with professional pride. Especially at home. On top of thst the ref was inept at points. For both teams. But we were killed momentum wise by him at key points. Total frustration.

Tell you what I’ve never sworn as much at a game like I did today. So if I was seething just think how DP was feeling.

Re: Powell to Wigan ?
The key to Powell's future may rest in how well the players respond to what I saw as a very poor performance.
I accept players were out of position and we suffered further injury losses during the game but that doesn't explain some very poor defending which DP appeared to pick up on. If the players don't respond to him by saying to themselves, come on, let's pick ourselves up and do some graft, DP may well decide he's taken them as far as he can..?
