Paul Wellens at his very best, Wouldn't shine in SL today. He was all about defence. A full back now is an extra stand off.

Unlikely. It would be ambitious, but Leigh came within an inch of signing him on a short-term deal.

in 520 games for Saints ,England, and Great Britain paul wellens scored 238 tries, not a bad strike rate for a full back that was all about defence. ;)
