They could have swerved that by not being Wigan and going for him on the cheap at Cas expense.TT Tiger wrote:It’ll be we don’t want to see another Terry Newton so we are going to do all we can to support him.mart0042 wrote:I think they'll roll out the 'we can cure him' line.

Re: Hardaker
Heard a rumour Powell is keen on Hardaker coming back. Wigan have renegotiated his contract after his drive driving. Also put lots of stipulations in there including moving to Wigan. This seems to be a issue for Hardaker and partner (her job). Powell still very much on talking terms with our former #1
Re: Hardaker
Wonder if this is what his former sponsor was on about on the Joe Wardle thread on Facebook? Her comment was: Watch this space. It was then later removed.Riggins wrote:Heard a rumour Powell is keen on Hardaker coming back. Wigan have renegotiated his contract after his drive driving. Having said this she is also current sponsor of Wardle and Foster.
Is he still with his partner? Don't see him anymore on her Instagram posts.

Re: Hardaker
I find it a bit sad and I include myself in this at times secretly want hardaker back ...the back line would go from unable to win next year's grand final for mine to strong favourites
Really the club should have brought in a top centre and maybe a experienced forward to make the difference in big games instead your left hoping were going to be able to manage a deal with Wigan to swop Wardle for Zak ...good luck with that

When saints lost barba they moved straight away to bring Lachlan coote in they'd already upgraded there centres with naiqama I'm not saying these types of players would have been available for us to get but surely somebody like Ken sio if Salford were able to bring him would have upgraded are backline
We seem to rely on making are signings when players are shown the door like wattsy or when there's a fire sale with Pete at Leigh and come to think of it Zak from whinos rarther than long term playing on whats needed to make us a better team year on year

Re: Hardaker
I'd have him back, he takes us to that next level that we need to push on. As long as there are some strong terms in there, if he breaks any and he's gone.

Re: Hardaker
It’s a massive assumption that he will be the same player he was. Let’s not forget that during his ban, he’s developed an alcohol addiction (and possibly other addictions too).Nobody wrote:I'd have him back, he takes us to that next level that we need to push on. It’s all well and good putting clauses in his contract so we could get rid, but the problem is the consequence of doing that would be similar to last time.
I understand the desire to have him back, but given his circumstances the likelihood of him reproducing is 2017 form is very low and the likelihood of him screwing up again is very high.
Not for me. Let him be someone else’s problem.

Re: Hardaker
I think we need to let this all go now myself included Zak isn’t coming back we’re going with what we’ve got by the looks of it we’re signing no one
Re: Hardaker
If he really wants to come back and sort his head out, money shouldn't matter. He isn't gonna get a massive wage like before. If he wants out of Wigan we have the upper hand on the negotiations for his wages surely?

Re: Hardaker
Offer zak a lower wage than before and hopefully a swap for Wardle so his wage would go towards zakswesterbeast wrote:So if we are up to our cap space, how do we pay for Zacs wages if this RUMOUR is true ????

Zak split with his ex months back and was already committed to moving to Wigan before the drink driving debacle. A number of interviews with Bateman have been published confirming Zak is due to move into his gaff whilst he’s over in the NRL.Riggins wrote:Heard a rumour Powell is keen on Hardaker coming back.
