Re: Gale
It was Maurice L who messed Robbo about at Cas, whisked him back to Wigan rapid, then only to not offer him anything and basically kick him out.... I find it hard to believe he particularly dislikes any club?!speedy wrote:Is it me or did he once say in an interview he hated it at Cas after he had left ?lurcher wrote:dettoriman wrote:Luke Robinson replaces Ellis
big big mistake if true and i'll stake my judgement of players on that.
But, as other have said, it was a truly awful time @ Cas!
Re: Gale
I'd have thought that it would have been released if it was done. Bradford are down and they just announced Fleming from us

Re: Gale
I would assume we wouldn't announce Gale until after our game with them.

But people "assumed" the same of our signings from London but that wasn't the case!HuddsTigers wrote:I would assume we wouldn't announce Gale until after our game with them.

Solomona released it on Twitter. The club never planned to announce it.Fumper27 wrote:But people "assumed" the same of our signings from London but that wasn't the case!HuddsTigers wrote:I would assume we wouldn't announce Gale until after our game with them.
Signings are planned to be announced when is convenient for both clubs and when is best for media exposure too.

Re: Gale
But as mentioned before the Fleming deal been confirmed so why not release both. It could have been used to soften the blow for either club. And with Bradford confirmed down and no longer appealing it doesn't make a difference
Re: Gale
Some Bradford fans seem to think Kearney and Addy will be joining Gale at Cas.

Re: Gale
I'd like both. Especially if Clark it's gone and tansey isn't here. Cover for fullback and halfs. Addy can play hooker aswell as halfs. Don't know how we stand on quota though.
Re: Gale
I dont rate addy think hes to big/slow to be a half n not big enough to play back row/loose id like kearney tho to have him n dorn competing for full back would be good.

Re: Gale
I see them as wrong cover mainly. Kearney would go well with it's if he stayed injury free. solomona and Kearney for tansey and Owen. Sounds ok to me.the machine wrote:We have cover for full back in clare and solomonamart0042 wrote:I'd like both. Especially if Clark it's gone and tansey isn't here. Cover for fullback and halfs. Re: Gale
Kearney would definitely be OK. Please though not Addy. Very ordinary, and we can do a lot better. Also weak in defence.

Pretty much what I thought when I read it tbh.the machine wrote:Do we need either??
Re: Gale
A bit earlier in this thread, I was a little dismissive of Gale, saying from what bit I had seen of him he looked a little bit of a 'Joe Ordinary'. However I think I am now re-evaluating my opinion. Due to the location of my occupation I work with 2 or 3 staunch Bradford fans. They also said they were not over enamoured with him most of the time. However they are now very upbeat about him, saying he is now looking a really good player. After viewing him on DVD's they have, I have to agree with them, and he is looking very good, particularly in their recent victories against Leeds and Wigan. Looked much sharper and prepared also to run the ball as well as his kicking and handling game. Maybe a change of coach was what he needed, whatever, he looks very commanding.
They were also very complimentary about Steve Crossley, who was at Bradford before he went into the Championship. Said they felt the club should not have let him go in the first place, and also that they were hoping they would resign him for next year. Apparently when they let him go, they were in financial difficulties and had to release one or two, but they thought he should not have been one of them. I have never seen him play, but they describe him as a big unit with some potential. A full time environment next season with a coach he likes could well see him unlock that potential.
We may have a couple of good players on our hands next season.

So I said to the Taxi driver, "King Edwards Close". He replied "It's alright we'll lose him at the next set of lights".
