Who do you want to go down?
Just to highlight that the world hasn’t ended with our defeat at Wigan:
Tomorrow sees one team relegated.
So who do you THINK will go down?

Think. I did almost go with “who do you want to go down?”, but I think that’s a bit obvious.smarty_tiger wrote:Think or hope?

I was kind of making a point. As frustrating as things might seem, let’s remember how many times we have been embroiled in the relegation battle rather than the play-off battle.heritage1926 wrote:Cas

Want - Wakefield
Think - London
Even if London win Hull KR won’t win at Salford and will go.

Re: Who do you want to go down?
In descending order.......
London - I wouldn't want London to go down. They have been great to watch this year and like a breath of fresh air to what was becoming a stagnant competition. Trail-finders Stadium is a tidy set-up and away fans are all made welcome.
Hull KR - Bring great support and the Hull derby is always worth a watch. Home support regularly tops 8,000+. So no I would like them to survive.
Wakey - I enjoy the rivalry but dislike them with a passion. I'm certain it's the same with their fans. I recon their turn to be relegated is not too far away (a polecat only has 9 lives) - but not this year. It would be interesting how they would deal with the drop. So,on rivalry alone - I'd like them to stay up......for now.
Hudds - I couldn't care less about this club. They bring nothing to SL. Support is awful and they have had years of finishing bottom without relegation. It's their turn for me. Good riddance to this plastic club if they go down - just like Widnes they will not be missed.

Re: Who do you want to go down?
I suppose we have to think how we will be stronger whichever team goes down.
Wakey - we become the only super league team in the area, maybe get a few extra rugby fans (maybe not their fans but the floaters)
They've got players we would want (Johnstone) but would he come? We'd miss our biggest gate of the season. We get the crap area to stand at their ground.
Hudds - bring little in fans, they charge more than us on the gate. They have a number of good young players and magillvary.
KR - they bring good numbers to us, maybe a couple of players I'd want (mulhearn for one) but won't miss going to their ground.
London - no crowd brought to us and the odd player I'd like (walker etc but they may already have new clubs). The away day at London is the best of the year in good weather. We were lucky this year, still I'd go every year as it was a fun day.
Head says London, didn't think they get 6 points.
But I think hudds would be best for us. They have such a lot of young talent that would fit us. Certainly magillvary, the senior brothers, the fullback darnell would thrive under DPs tactics.

If Wakey do go down, then we need to be looking at Johnstone/Fifita/Tanginoa/Tupou - obviously not all 4, but at least 1 one of them.

Re: Who do you want to go down?
Whoever goes down, in reality their squad players will end up elsewhere, even those under contract would obviously be able to be tempted.
Personally I don't have much fondness for Huddersfield, but non-emotionally speaking the league table never lies there have been four teams significantly worse than any others this season, as well as one significantly better week in week out.
Most likely if not London, Hull KR.

Re: Who do you want to go down?
Simple, Huddersfield. Their own town doesn't even care for Rugby League, so why should we bother about them. It's a soulless ground with no atmosphere. Their fans always think they are hard done by and that tin pot they bang does my head in!! The only decent thing about going there is that the lasses behind the bar in the gas club remember what me and my dad drink!
