Jamie Ellis has definitely brought some direction in attack and it’s freeing Truman up to play his natural game. Thought we played well today, faultless in defence and improving in attack. Could do without the dreaded week off next week though!

Solid enough performance, should have been a few more, but job done. Any win to nil, especially away from home is a good effort. Good to see Millington looking good again, he looked sharp today.

Defensively outstanding. Put a huge hit in on someone in the first half.

Attack he did his job but had two/three try assists ruled out for forward passes. Obviously couldn’t see on whether they were or not but still unlucky.
Tbh he's been 8-10 in defence nearly every game also carted it up all game long
Just missing a bit of a spark in attack really

Three tries chalked off for forward passes - could and should have been more. Hudds were dire. They look gone - forwards were anonymous.
I don't know how they could put in a performance like that when there clubs in dire trouble but cas did bang them hard in defence think Powell will be delighted we were still throwing our body's on the line in the last 5 minutes to keep them out

A solid win that keeps us in with a sniff.

A week's rest now before we head over the hill to Saints.....

Part of the problem is they have a team of kids and the two or three who have experience and give a toss, have no support. You have people like Leeming who is a trier but tries to cheat at the ruck all game.

That forward pack of Hudds should be embarrassed tonight by what they served up. Wonder if Ikahihifo can’t be bothered after they tried to ship him out at beginning of the year, for example.

I've not been Rankins biggest fan since he arrived, but these last few weeks, he's definately stepped up to the plate. Another good performance today.

Think its safe to say that we had the better deal when him and Wardle were swapped. Can't see Huddersfield wanting to keep him.

Credit due,a game like this is never easy especially since it was really a very poor CAS 17 really. Still think Salford will be 5th so can't see CAS getting in the top 5.unless you thro everyone in against saints including gale,Eden, shenton,if they are anywhere near fit.saints might just be off there game with Wembley week before

I agree it was clear to a lot of people when some of the load was taken off truey he would start to play more freely
Felt sorry for Ellis he should have scored off Pete's kick he was praying for ball to bounce right for him but it was grubering along eventually he picked it up and plonked it down only for the man in the middle to call knock on ha

This was a game many thought we would lose,I didn’t go so cannot really comment on the game but to nil any team takes some effort regardless of the opposition.
1 try conceded in 160
Minutes of rugby shows the lads are working really hard even if we aren’t at our fluent best.

Saints away we will find out if we’ve got the belly for the job but for now we are still alive: just

I thought big Will went well this afternoon. Started at prop and did first 20 minutes, carting it up hard and his defence was strong and assured. Thought he was going to score early on when he chased an Ellis high kick and caught it at full chat.Think he looked more stunned than the crowd. :D

I have got to know a lot of the young Giants players through Matty English, and in their own words they are shot to pieces, but will try to keep going and not let their club down, and hopefully keep in super league. Next season with senior players recovered from injury, and the young un's a year older perhaps make a better fist of it.
Matty English is a well sought after prop, but in his own words he loves playing for his club and hoping for a couple of wins before end of season.
