It's the least we can do when you and your family have suffered such a huge loss.

Hopefully, the knowledge that Castleford RLFC fans around the the world are thinking of you will ease the pain a little.

He was a giant of a man - in every sense of the word.

Take care.

Was fortunate enough to meet Bill prior to a home game against York, as a teenager with playing aspirations of my own I couldn't believe the size of this bloke who gave me an "Alright lad" and shook my hand. Just thought he was a good bloke having
time for a kid like me and was quite happy telling my Dad this in the stands afterwards just as Bill who had taken exception to a York player sliding into Heppys back with his knees took the offending player out with the swing of a gargantuan arm, the York player who landed somewhere in the middle of next week wasn't seen again and Bill as was his want had looked after his own again, clearly one bloke off the pitch, one on it but a true legend am sure you'll miss him as we all miss our loved ones but comforting I hope to know that he was admired and respected and left one young lad with a special memory

Big Bill deserves all the accolades he has received. I remember your granddad playing for Cas - also a good player.
