Catalan away team

Post by Swagger » 18 Apr 2019, 22:05

Thought I would start it early as most fly out tomorrow or Saturday.....

Going to be a real tough ask and not sure we will get close to them. More injuries tonight but McShane will be back. Do we line up at full strength and go for the win or rest a few take a loss and get players back for Wigan?

Go for it. They are 2 points behind us and we need to put a gap between us again.

Hopefully we will have a few fit bodies back. McShane and Clarkson (was in captain’s run pic). Fingers crossed on Foster, Rankin.

Would you play Rankin?? Happily go with Trueman and Aston again.

Probably have him on the bench over O’Neill if he’s fit. But any first teamers we can rotate we should do.

Good shout. Rankin can cover pretty much 1 to 7 if needed. Probably would be needed with 3 days between games.

The starting pair tonight deserve another chance for me. Can’t fault them for their first game together.

Two to many 'Brain Farts' to allow for that to happen in recent games and not to ignore the fact that a number of our fans that have spent their well earned money to go and support the tigers over there and that they deserve more respect than that.  Don't write us off, the Dragon are more than capable of having a Jeckll and Hyde performance as they have witnessed on more than one occasion so far this season.

It shouldn't be all doom and gloom.

Macca back at 9 gives us an extra 20/30% in the hooking role. Frees Milner up to 13 and Massey can fill in at Prop.

If we can get one or two more bodies back. We shouldn't really be any weaker in the short term.

My worry been the following weeks. Easter takes its toll and we need to start getting experienced faces back in the squad for the weeks that follow Catalans. Adrenaline will power the guys through Monday. Especially with a quick start and Catalans are Jekyl and Hyde this year.

Just need to try and cut out silly errors in our own half and play in their half. Too often at the minute we are inviting teams on our line and our wide defence is suspect.

I'm sure the 500 and odd Cas fans making the trip over are all in agreeance with this one

Cooky told a few people he would miss 2 weeks last night. I assumed he'd been rested but obviously not.
