Re: Wakefield H
I'd go with that but keep Pete and Trueman in the half's with Turner at FB.
There could be a chance of Rankin back this weekend - Pete at FB with Rankin and Trueman in the half's.

Re: Wakefield H
Can't take Wakefield lightly on Thursday, but with them missing a fair few, I'd rest anyone who's not 100% ready for Catalan Monday.
Re: Wakefield H
Looking at the squads they look every bit as strong as us.heritage1926 wrote:Can't take Wakefield lightly on Thursday, but with them missing a fair few, I'd rest anyone who's not 100% ready for Catalan Monday.

Re: Wakefield H
Aston recalled from Newcastle. Could see him at scrum half and Pete back at full back.
Re: Wakefield H
Pauli could start but he played 75 min last week and with another game on Monday i dont expect to see him or Fifita doing as many minutes as they usually do, especially with Kirmond rested up after his ban.RonnieGibbs'forearm wrote:Not a bad side barring the halves and the bench. A bit scratchy but not as bad as it could have been.
Pack will cause us trouble but if Wood is out then that will be a bigger loss than Miller in my book. Don't really rate Miller- never does owt against us. Wood though often has a great game v Cas. Without him at the ptb big loss of pace.
Agree that Wood will be a big loss if he doesn't make it.

Re: Wakefield H
3 changes for Tigers.
Millinton, Cook and Egodo out.
Massey, Aston and Maher in.
3 changes for Wakey.
Brough, Miller and England out.
Kirmond, Annakin and Reynolds in.

Re: Wakefield H
Brough missing is a big plus for us. Having said that if Aston plays we will struggle big time.

Re: Wakefield H
Wildcats getting 12 start with bookies and 3-1 to win without start it's nearly a level game for me tho

Re: Wakefield H
The question is Matautia/Aston/Trueman better than Jowitt/Reynolds/Hampshire if we were to start like that. In my book it is.Lofthouse Tiger wrote:Rough missing is a big plus for us. Having said that if Aston plays we will struggle big time.

Re: Wakefield H
I would take the Polecats with 12 start every time. Seems a lot to me that?

Re: Wakefield H
I agree LT. I don't usually bet on Cas games to be honest, but a 12 start for Wakey seems tempting. An even game for meLofthouse Tiger wrote:I would take the Polecats with 12 start every time. Seems a lot to me that?
Re: Wakefield H
Well, considering we let two of them go as they weren't good enough, then that should be the answer. :pray:HuddsTigers wrote:The question is Matautia/Aston/Trueman better than Jowitt/Reynolds/Hampshire if we were to start like that. I wouldn't believe a word that came out of Chester's mouth about players missingLofthouse Tiger wrote:Brough missing is a big plus for us. Having said that if Aston plays we will struggle big time.
Re: Wakefield H
He was in hospital this morning all gowned up ready for an op on his thumb so can't imagine Brough will be playing.yorkie1bn wrote:I wouldn't believe a word that came out of Chester's mouth about players missingLofthouse Tiger wrote:Brough missing is a big plus for us. Re: Wakefield H
A must win game tomorrow IMO. The pack behind us are now chasing us for 3rd. We could easily find ourselves out of the top 5 come end of Monday or comfortably up the table.
Although Wakey shouldn't be taken lightly, i'd like to think we can get the job done against them with the players they have out. Then like someone said on another thread, get Macca, Rankin, Foster, Cook and Clarkson back for Monday and kick on.

Re: Wakefield H
Can we really finish in the top two this season I'm not sure we can to win a grand final from any other position than first or second in this system is very tough
Id be going all out to have a good run in the challange cup getting our strongest team out at hull
