The Positives

Post by Router1977 » 23 Mar 2019, 09:56

For me the game changed a it in our favour when Jesse came on. For me he must start every game in big matches.

Junior Moors is not a starting player. He is best used off the bench for impact once we get a roll on.

Every team during a season will have a big blip. Let's hope this was the big one and it is now out of the system.

You have also to remember that we have only been beat by the teams above us so if that continues we should be in a good place come play offs.

Shenton went the length of the field putting Grace on his backside in the process. Not bad for someone who is 30 odd and past his best :D

Grace would have had him if he hadn’t of slipped.
Shenny looked knackered when he got of the floor.
I know his pace is waning but he looked like he was running with leadin his boots, and yes he’d been defending for 60 mins which will have took it out of him.

He was one of our better players though yesterday.

Oh and also he had a 5 meter start, how the ref missed him being off side, did child give a blind eye to it, I think so.

Shenton still had to slow and step him. Grace may have slipped but it’s Shenny’s decision making that caused it. Something to smile about after 60 mins of tosh.

Yes it did make me smile.
I thought, crikey something’s gone for us.
Even child didn’t penalise us for Shenton 5 meters off side.

Grace missed Shenny because he can’t defend to save his life. When Shenny saw him coming and stepped back and the result was a try with Grace on his backside.

Truemans try was also quality Pete had agreat game under the high ball

Other than that there wasn’t much to smile about.

On to next week, surely we can’t be that bad again?

We would be hard pushed to be that bad again LT. If we suffer a battering like that against this Leeds side, it would be probably our most embarrassing result since Millward.

Matautia safeish, I would say. His goal line defence is definitely suspect.

I would imagine the players have something about them to make sure last night doesn’t happen again Hudds.

When I saw DP wander across the pitch I honestly can say I have never seen him look so low. That’s how bad it was. He can only do so much as a coach, the players let themselves down badly last night and need a big response over the next 3 games as we play the bottom 3.

There has to be a response. Positive is a relatively short turnaround again.

And Leeds one less day and having to play in Catalans.
If we don’t respond to this then I fear for us.
