There are plenty of posts saying what we should and should not do.
It's good to have a cross section of opinion.
I am a Cas Fan so l do have the proverbial tinted specs.
I also remember the drubbings we were on the receiving end of.
Walking to games hoping we wouldn't ship 50 points selling our best players, including Clarke to save the club from going under.
We are a club with a relatively small fan base.
We have dated facilities.
We own our own ground albeit rather delapidated and own a significant amount of money to Ian Fulton.
We don't have an owner throwing big money at the club.
We have not the success of the so called big teams.
In recent years we have become a contender.
Won the League Leaders Sheild played some entertaining and at times champagne rugby.
We have a coaching team who have raised the bar.
We have been dogged by injuries and we are consistently challenging the opposition.
We have a team who are greater than the sum of their parts.
We are a little off attracting some of the big names.
Conversely some have become big names whilst at the club.
There are areas as a business that need to become more professional.
We have players who need to improve and have more belief.
However as we stand at the moment only Saint's and Wire are above us.
Hull, Leeds and Wigan are languishing in the lower reaches of the table.
So credit to Daryl and his Team and the boys who knows what the season may bring.

What makes me unhappy is that DP has carefully assembled a squad like building a jigsaw, and just when it's about right our key half backs are injured most of the time, which hampers progress. I know that can't be helped, but it is frustrating. Saints have largely avoided this.

So easy to forget the wilderness years. We all expect better things both on and off the grass now and that can only be a good thing.

Important that we all remain positive and realistic. The trophies will come.

I love my club more than I've ever done and am grateful for the DP era. I intend to continue to relish it.

Is this accurate though? If Zak hadn't have done what he did then we wouldn't have signed Mata'utia would we? Agree it would be a great back line though

Maybe so, but I can’t imagine him of being in DP’s plans for that year, certainly not the amount of games he got. Was close to going out on loan to a Championship team for experience.
