Re: On to hull KR
It was a very scratchy performance. Thought we were a bit lucky in the first half but just had a bit more quality to get our noses in front. Thought KR had played well up to then.
Second half, what a farce. Hewer completely lost control of the ruck, couldn’t keep up, wouldn’t penalise KR at all and the players took it into their own hands.
Have to say that KR were an absolute shambles and a disgrace. Really they should face punishment for failing to control their players as all they wanted to do was scrap every set, rough us up and be niggly. Made no effort to play rugby. I’m so glad we beat them because we deserved to.
Hopefully they get a few banned too including McGuire who moaned about every single penalty.
In terms of ourselves, Mata’utia is so solid at the back, I thought our left edge worked hard and Clare also played well too. Disappointed by their barge over tries but with the middles we had missing can’t be too disappointed. Jesse put in a great stint and Clarkson’s try was a great effort. Can’t wait to see the highlights.

Pleased with the win. Apart from the usual stand out performers i thought Rankin is getting more confident, some of his kicking downfield was clever and accurate. Minikin went well up against a tricky opposing centre, and Cook made some real yardage off the bench.
Concerned we may be down to the bare bones squad wise for the trip to Warrington though.

Rankin had his best game yet he's got his confidence now also kicked two beauties from the touchline
Yes it's a worry having so many injuries but at least it gives players like oniel a chance to show what they can do wouldn't worry me if that lad had a run in the team now

One thing that puzzles me at London and every away game really there is constant singing and noise behind the team at the home games it's the complete opposite

Re: On to hull KR
solid performance from the boys.at times we didn't respect possession trying ridiculous off loads that were not on.some bits of magic-truey to eden and clarksons effort.mixed emotions when kr scored with only 10 men on pitch,i had cas to win by 14 at 20-1 and they miss a simple conversion.one last thought from the match o'neil looked lively when he came on.

Trueman looks every bit a future international the more I see him. Not seen a more composed 19 year old in a long time. Defensively sound for a smaller bloke and he's starting to take the line on. Long may it continue.

Re: On to hull KR
did anybody else see what looked like a gouging from Maguire on Egodo? It happened just a couple of minutes before he got binned about 15 yards out from the WRE try line. Egodo was on his back and Maguire rubbed his hands all over his face. Egodo got up rubbing his eyes. I detest Maguire. That said, I thought egodo tackled well especially that body wrap on Masoe.

Yep! We all saw it around me in the WRE. He's a horrible little [Cut out the swearing], I'm with you - can't stand him. The night before Thaler gave a penalty for hands on the face. Definitely looked like Maquire put a finger in Egodo's eye, he got up holding it. Lets see if it gets picked up in the review for disciplinary. On a positive note, Egodo looked strong again, young O'Neill looked busy - made 1 error, but he can be forgiven for that. Trueman is surely a future England half back, the maturity he's showing at his age is unbelievable. The future looks brightScotsTiger wrote:did anybody else see what looked like a gouging from Maguire on Egodo? Horrible game to watch but another 2 points. Clarkson had another good game and a great try. We must sort out the discipline as giving so many penalties away will really hurt us over the next month against the top sides.
