Dean Sampson

Post by heritage1926 » 08 Feb 2019, 20:34

Just seen a post on Facebook from his daughter Olivia, looks like he's gone missing. If anyone in the Castleford/Wakefield area see him, contact her on FB - Olivia Sampson.

Must be serious enough for the family to post on social media.

Just seen that.
Also the police have been called.
Not sure how long and when he went missing but I hope he turns up safe and well.

There are serious concerns for his welfare after a post on Facebook this afternoon. Anyone who has seen him in the last few hours needs to ring the police and let them know where and when, quoting incident number 1744 of today’s date.

Dean has been found.
Admin - any chance we can delete the thread, he doesn’t need everyone knowing?

Message's of support and concern can be therapeutic.
Dean you gave us many great memories.

Fair point. I guess I just thought that if I were in his position, I wouldn’t want the world to know about my lowest and most difficult moments. But you’re right, I shouldn’t assume.

He's been putting it on faceboook, maybe a cry for help. Hope Cas can get in touch with him and help in some way. Some players have nothing after Rugby League, even coaching probably didn't fulfil him enough as playing did.

The game prides itself on provision for support for mental health. Let's see it. Get behind Deano.

Good luck mate. You will not be able to fully appreciate this at the moment but there are hundreds of family and friends around close by who want to help you.

There are hundreds, probably thousands, more who love the black, amber and white and hold you in high esteem. We are thinking of you and wish you well. You gave us many great memories in the famous colours. For that reason alone, we are there for you in the coming days and weeks.

We all have tough times when it seems like there might not be any more days in the sunshine but we can get through even the darkest days if we let the support settle around us.

As Churchill said "In this life, you just have to keep buggering on...."

Keep well.
