Fantastic win but at what cost, not liking all these injuries pilling up

Gale season
Ellis 6 months
Cook hamstring ?
Holmes shoulder ?
Clark knee ?
Maher ?

Week off next week will help though

All the best to Mitch. Absolute rotten luck to happen on your first touch of the ball. Also, thank god that McShane got back up after the discuting act on his standing leg, I've seen them seriously injure folk. My heart sank when he stayed down.

Also macca picked up a knock and carried on.
Moors also, seemed like a neck injury that affected his shoulder, maybe a nerve problem at the time, bit of physio on the field seem to have done the trick.

Think we all had a little prayer when macca went down

to macca's credit in the after match interview he refused to blame the tackler. think if clark hadn't already gone off (precaution hopefully) junior would have gone off.

Well it's not going to help Gale, Ellis or Holmes is it?
Tbf could be a bonus re Cookie, Clark too early to know, and frankly Maher has become irrelevant.

On the brighter side Meeks should be back from his concussion, which offsets Mitch's injury. And if we dare to be optimistic then both Cook and Clark won't be far away.

Also to paraphrase Gateman we've got some great kids waiting for a chance Peachey in particular should be hoping for some 1st team action this season.

Absolutely, Macca is the key to our season. If we were to lose McShane for any length of time, added to the loss of Gale plus the man Ellis who's supposed to cover them, we'd be royally humped.

Funny how the polecats fans accuse him of being lazy, soft etc, he barely misses a game and gives 100% every time. Can only think they didn't know how to coach him...

fat lazy waster were the words used. ;) powell always says what a smart player he is and he's proved his tactical awareness by coaching the hunslet amateur side to a 100% unbeaten 2018 league season.

As you probably know I'm a massive macca fan. He made Houghton look pedestrian tonight. One handed scoots from dh, astute kicks and big hits for a full 80 mins. Absolutely awesome imo.

Powell will find a way to fill the gaps he always does he continues to do a fantastic job as cas coach
Not a signing made in the off season losing the main player few weeks before the season starts and he's not phased just gets on with his job top of the league and two very good performances to start with

Clarks injury has probably boosted Chris Clarksons chance of a contract. Massey may be needed at prop now so the extra backrow cover will be useful.

Always makes me laugh when Maher is included on our injury list as if it’s a serious hindrance to our chances. The bloke is a chocolate fire guard.

I have to agree now alf. i've always stuck up for big will in the hope that he'll finally achieve what we all hoped for. sadly i think time is running out for him, a bit like aston. some gambles come off others don't
