Really struggling to see why people think Wigan will do so well this year, they have lost Sam Thompkins and Bateman two of their stars, and have brought in Jarud Sammut. On top of this they have lost their Talisman coach in Shaun Wayne and brought in an unproven coach with his first real gig in charge of club rugby.

They seem to be pinning a lot of hope on one Mr Hardacre and I can only see that going one way tbf.

Think they will be top 6 this year, cant see them in the top 4 come the end of the season.........

Obviously just my opinion.

Zak
Manfredi
Sarginson
Gildart
Davies/burgess/
sammut
Williams
Flower
Leuluai
Clubb
Farrell
Greenwood
Lockers

Escare
Isa
Powell
Tautai
Marshall
Navarette
Hamlin

That squad is more than capable of top 4

Plus their youth setup produces quite a volume of players that can step up fairly seamlessly

I think Wigan rely on Williams an awful lot and if he gets a bad injury (like gale n brown) think they would struggle badly

Sammut and Hardaker!!

For Tomkins and Bateman.

Maybe lost a little in the forwards but have gained a lot in the backs. I think they will be just as strong as last year the cheating bar stools

You've only picked 11

Leeds and Catalan in bottom 3?

We'll finish above your lot too ;)

Round one suggests that some clubs strengthening has not produced the expected outcome

as you say mate early days I worked with a lad who loved his rugby but only started to go to matches after a month into the season he always said that's when the start playing, but for me every game counts two points at the early part of the season counts just the same as two at the back end

Yeah I agree with the last part of this comment.Every game is important and being consistent is important as well,it will help being in the top half of table and maybe be top spot.
