Then again who am I to say. It’s easy to get excited ha ha
We need to get the cheque book out
Thing is Luke’s wages will be covered by insurance and him taken off the salary cap so that’s at least 100k to spend on the cap.
There’ll definitely be an up and coming Aussie half back we’ll uncover. Meanwhile , and no I’m not joking, would rangi be intertested or capable?
Other than that, brad Davis! Lol

There’ll definitely be a half back on their way before long.
"There’ll definitely be a half back on their way before long"

Sounds like you know something we don't

Please point out where i have said on here that our squad is fine as it is and we are in with a chance of winning something.

You wont. We all know the backs are the weakest we have had for years and short on numbers. God only knows why DP and the rest of them cant see it.

Maybe the plan is the give all the 2nd rowers a game somewhere when all the injuries kick in.
Why didn’t you warn them as well then ?

We do like to play 1 man rugby when the going gets tough so maybe you have the plan right there!!
I don't come on here posting stupid statements like "I did warn you all about quality of the squad." thats why
You also didn’t appear 4 days ago to spout off negativity about how poor the squad is and how doomed Cas are, with a bunch of other random accounts.

I only have 1 account ? Please ask an admin to confirm.

It is poor for the ambitions that the club started to set of being top 4 etc. Everyone has strengthened we haven’t. You can’t use the excuse of mid season signing Watts and Peter because we needed them when we signed them.

I haven’t said we are doomed but we are in for a long frustrating season in my view. I just think people should take a step back and think about the club and what they do rather then blindly following them whatever.

Blindly following the club .
That's what fans do.
Yes the situation is far from ideal.
I would like to think that the club, the directors and coaching staff do have plans.
However plans are subject to many factors.
So yes l will continue to follow them blindly as l have for awhile and as the man who introduced me to Rugby League has done for eighty two years.
Not too keen on all the insults and insinuations that seem to be in vogue in 2019.
Players, coaches, board members come and go all that is left as a constant are the fans!

I think people just pluck names out of the air.

Absolutely no chance of bringing anyone in until we've tried what we've already got.why bring in a player that doesn't know the players, the club or our systems whilst leaving players that have been here a Long time twiddling there fingers sat in the stands.

The thing with Rankin is -

1. Would he be better than what we have ? Roberts, Ellis and Aston. IMO - Yes.
2. Would he add to our depleted and thin on the ground back-line ? IMO - Yes.

Do we have room on the quota?

One space. We currently have:
Millington
Roberts
Moors
JSL
Mata’utia
Clark (even though he was born in Pontefract)

It was also a good deal giants put him on when they signed him so I imagine somewhere close to what Wardles on if that's the thinking

He caused us some right problems when they beat us last year at Cas.

Because if you’d like to actually challenge for silverware then what we have isn’t good enough I’m afraid.

IMO it’s not good enough to put pressure on the top 4 this season.

So making a panic signing is going to improve our chances.?

Time will tell you may we be right as its a very competitive league London aside. Like everyone else I'd like us to make a signing or two but been realistic who is available that would improve our chances at this moment in time? Jordan Rankin, not for me he would add utility value and be a good squad player that could cover 2/3 positions but worth losing our quota spot for? What if an overseas player became available that would improve our chances later in the year.

It's all well and good to keep banging on about how where not good enough but the reality is we don't have an open cheque book and you can only sign what's available if it fits your budget.
