Thats why we need Ikahifo to replace him in a few years. 35k if thats what they want would be worth italftupper wrote:Players aging and passing their peak always seems to take Cas by surprise for some reason. Millington has been a fantastic servant one of the best but he can’t go on forever and I expect to see cracks appearing this season.

Re: cant wait
Personally I cant wait for the new season because I am a RL fan, much like Gateman I am often at one amateur RL game or another on a Saturday afternoon just to get a fix.
I would like a new stadium and I would like to sign a couple of superstar players, but ultimately I will still be there on the 30th of Dec and at the start of the season because I love watching RL and Cas is my team.
And for what its worth so long as we are competitive home and away and I get to see some exiting matches and good quality RL I will be happy.
I never started following Cas on the proviso that they won at least one major trophy every X number of years.
Suppose I am just easier to please than some folks, although our lass may not agree

Well it is Christmas so perhaps we can hope for a Miracle on 42nd Street, or as we now it, Wheldon Road.
Happy Christmas folks.

Work hard, play harder where only here a short time,I love most sports tbh but if I had a few million in the bank it would be a few racehorses not a rugby club I'd buy.mart0042 wrote:How the other half live....braytontiger wrote:Not desperate for the season to start,I like a game of golf and I also watch Leeds united so the off season as been kind.

It is going to get worse before it gets better OCL, I will be very surprised if this development was to happen in its current ambitious state.old cas lass wrote:What happens if the same happens in January.alftupper wrote:a total lack of confidence and performance in the retail sector I would have thought OCLold cas lass wrote:What caused the delay in November for it to be put back until January.
Sadly the stadium is all dependent on an industry that’s very insecure.
Can’t see it getting any better in the near future.
Not sure if brexit as nowt to do with it, I can see the brexit farce running for a while yet.
Not looking good.
Sadly the club chose to place all its eggs in one basket

I've been to United a few times myself. I can see promotion. I wonder if it will effect the rhinos crowd like has happened at Bradford and Huddersfield.braytontiger wrote:Work hard, play harder where only here a short time,I love most sports tbh but if I had a few million in the bank it would be a few racehorses not a rugby club I'd buy.mart0042 wrote:How the other half live....braytontiger wrote:Not desperate for the season to start,I like a game of golf and I also watch Leeds united so the off season as been kind.

Also, after seeing new grounds like man City, arsenal and now spurs. Wouldn't it be great to have something similar for Leeds. It could then be rugby leagues home to England.

Re: cant wait
I've always said, the day Leeds United return to the Premier League, Rhinos crowds will die, especially any Friday night games/ Sunday afternoon games. LUFC season ticket prices will increase and you'll find fans/families having to make a financial decision between the rugby and football - Premier League football will more than likely win.mart0042 wrote:I've been to United a few times myself. Re: cant wait
I think they'll sell out each week and with higher prices, purple have waited that long for it. Would like to see the 49ers buy the club and invest like other American football owners have at Liverpool, Fulham, man utd.heritage1926 wrote:I've always said, the day Leeds United return to the Premier League, Rhinos crowds will die, especially any Friday night games/ Sunday afternoon games. Re: cant wait
I remember when United were in the top division, Leeds Rhinos still had big gates. It's a big city. Last year they had decent gates when struggling, so if they become successful again, they won't suffer from United's success.

Re: cant wait
Leeds have been out of the top flight for 15 years. Some of the younger fan base won't have ever seen them play in it. It's a different era now.cogito ergo sum wrote:I remember when United were in the top division, Leeds Rhinos still had big gates. It's a big city. We'll get a clue in the new year, as United will be selling out as they push for promotion and Rhinos start their new era.
