I know shirts are about increasing revenue but wouldn’t people buy them if the range and quality were much better even if a bit more expensive?
Adidas would be great but just a pipe dream unfortunately

Out of the rugby manufacturers I'd go for Canterbury or Oneills
I hadn't thought about Canterbury, they do some decent stuff

Under Armour, they made the Salford stuff for a bit - expensive to sign up but actually make gear instead of using boring templates ala Puma/Nike/Adidas.

Why would Adidas only be a pipe dream? We have had them previously.

And they operate through a third party like Puma with kitbag, the club wouldn't deal directly with Adidas.

Because we don't exactly see huge global brands falling over themselves to be associated with our sport anymore do we?

Only because of cost.

Clubs need to weigh up the cost against what they make, IIRC it cost Salford £500k to have Under Armour for a year. ISC/Xblades etc will cost significantly less.

Under Armour would be great to get on board with. Massive sporting brand, some decent exposure and i'd imagine some quality gear.

i know I am going to be shot down, but I don't like the silky material all the replica shirts are made of, I understand players need a light weight shirt , but for the fans cotton shirts for me look a lot smarter

Been in shop today to have a closer look.
Still doesn’t do it for me.
It’s the 2 shades of brown that makes it look awful.
Not sure who’s idea it was but imo it’s the wrong one.

Been to the shop today and changed my mind. I don’t like it. Nor do I like the home one much. If I had to buy one it’d be the third shirt.

Also I loved the heritage ones online and was going to buy my dad one for Christmas, but I don’t like those either in the flesh.

I do like a lot of the leisure wear though. But would quite like a normal polo shirt.

£70 for a UA shirt would be well worth it tbh.

Much, much better quality than anything Xblades would come up with.

(and if it helps cover the 500k a year cost then go for it)

^^ I saw £90 as regular price, £70 as the sale price. If regular price is £90 then its too expensive in my opinion. Doubling the price of a replica shirt is too much regardless of quality. I don’t like XBlades, but there is a limit to what people can afford to pay for a shirt.

Oh £90 would be overkill but I'd assume there's some Union posh boy price gouging going on.

If any of our fans pay £70 for a shirt they must have more money than sense, I know there as got be a mark up but £70 is going over the top
