Jack wasn't offered a new contract so he was a free agent. Quite a number of academy lads have been snapped up by championship clubs,my view on it is they know it's going to be harder for them with no duel reg and a reserve competition on the horizon.

Good luck to jack he had a terrible run of injuries last year, hope he goes well.

It's not always a bad thing to take a step backwards, some very good players have been released that have come back a better player for it. Luke gale,Alex foster are two great examples of sticking at it and reaping the rewards.

The key is having the opportunity to stay in the game wether it nl1 or championship as there is a pathway back not that all players want full time rugby.
