To Oliver Holmes and Greg minikin.
Both in the knights squad.

Congrats. to those two, but the selectors really must have something on Macca.

Holmes, Minikin and Gale have all missed a fair chunk of the season and been picked but, for some inexplicable reason, the one who’s been playing consistently well, very well in fact, week in week out, gets overlooked again.

Unbelievable.

It is a strange one Nu Shooze, I wonder if there’s an agenda against him. Surely not.

Regarding the Knights, I believe they're going for a young squad, hence not picking McShane.

i Think you are right, it comes to a point in a players career that if you name him in the Knights squad, its a little bit of an insult for a player with the stature of Macca, hes just unlucky that there are a lot of good hookers around which are keeping him out of the main England squad.

Thought there was some kind of age cap on the knights?

It was Under 25 players. However, that doesn't explain how Holmes, Hadley, Shaul, Powell (all 26) are all in unless it's 25 and under at the start of the season so all these will cease to be eligible next season.

Ah, didn’t know that. Thought it was just a shadow squad.

Wikipedia, the font of all knowledge, says it was established in 2011 as a squad for Under 25s. It was always earmarked as a development squad.

Personally, I think it should be the England reserves to give them international experience. We already have England U19s etc.

I thought Trueman would have had a chance of making this team if he had not been injured if he keeps improving like he as this season GB awaits
