If that's not motivation for the squad then I don't know what is. I'd like to think they've all seen it, pinned it up on the wall and drawn a big target over it.
Spot on ERG.

If looking at that line up doesn't fire up every one of our squad then they aren't made of the right stuff.

It's fired me up.....

At times others have played well for us but consistency the majority of our players haven't been their. When the club put out on Twitter just our 1,2,3 player of the year left to announce it was obvious macca would be 1st but after that I didn't think there was much between the likes of millo, trueman,Holmes, moors,Milner,,Massey, cook any 2 from that group could have got it as they have all played well without been consistently good.
Agree with this. Only Macca should be in for me. Too many injuries throughout the year for many to get in.

My issue is some of the players in there and others (non Cas who are not.)

Lomax and Richardson shouldnt be the halves.
SOL missed too many games to be LF for me.
Matty Ashurst is a good player but 2nd best Sr this year? No.
I'm glad to see Topou and Johnstone from Wakey get in though

Sean O'Loughlin should never be in. The bloke has missed 14, yes, 14 games this season, playing in just over 50% of the season. It's an absolute joke.

Greg Eden should be in by that fact as he's the 2nd top try scorer in terms of wingers and has played only 14 games (2 games less).

In terms of the 13 spot, Milner should be in. It's not that he's been amazing but simply for the fact he's most recognisable, hard-working and consistent 13 at the moment, actually contributing more to his team's season than others too.

There's barely any other 13s worth mentioning. I'd have had Charnley over Makinson too. McShane should be in on the fact he's been having to do it all for an injury-hit team.

Whilst I don’t agree with O’Loughlin I would have agreed with Milner either,he’s not our starting 13 and is a penalty machine so can understand his omission.

I agree with Danny Richardson I think the kid is amazing and been seriously impressed by him every time he comes down the lane.

McShane absolutely should have been in there and possibly Eden at a push,Millington and Moors must have been close but no way Milner

I don't agree with Richardson iv never seen him do anything brilliant, the only time he makes the papers is with his goal kicking or drop goals.

I don't agree with O'Loughlin being in, but surely you see the contradiction you have just made?

End of the day, the dream team is picked by the players, they're the ones playing the game, they understand it better than any of us do. They'll know more than anyone, which players over the season have caused them the most problems and who has stood out. If players think Sean O'Loughlin has been the best 13, then so be it, he must of impressed them when he's played.

The dream team is picked by the media.

Only change I would make would be BMM in over SOL (Mailner is also more deserving than SOL).

Cant really argue with the rest, Roby has been immense this year, as he is every year, im fairly certain if Roby wasnt first choice with the journo's, Macca was.

I've got the dream team and MOS mixed up.

Is picked over the first 23 rounds. I'd like to see how many games Johnston and olaughlin played. I recall Johnston coming back from injury and the pie dude only playing a few. Milner was standout in the first 23 resulting in an England call up.

I do think the wrong Catalans player is in. How does Josh Drinkwater not make the 7 shirt when he turned his team around from relegation favourites to Challenge Cup winners?
Mike Cooper has had a fantastic year at Warrington...he should be in for Casty, yet Chris Hill even beats him to an England squad place!
And I may be biased, but I haven't seen a better 9 than Macca this season....and 3 from Wakefield? Gimme a break....

He was also dropped I believe for poor form at the start of the season. Saying that though, he's scored some absolute spectacular tries this season, ones I've not seen any player in world rugby score, they've been that good.

Each of the three Wakefield players deserve their inclusion, Ashurst defends superbly, runs good lines and backs up, Johnstone is a wonderful talent and Tupou has matured into a great centre. Think it's blinkers time there Fryston. :)

Not a debate they have been good for you, but three players from a team that's done nothing? Maybe one but three seems a bit strange, and I am in no way arguing a Cas player should be in over them either!

Tom has played 24 games out of 30, missing out on three which were connected to his current injury, not too shabby for a lad returning from a serious injury.

But isn't that part of the criteria that they have been good for us? And done nothing? I'm pleased with our finishing position.

I think people forget that Rangi Chase won MOS in a team that did nothing once upon a time...

If you've been the stand out player in your team or a position, regardless of whether your team has played in a major final, won silverware or finished in the top 4, then they deserve the recognition. I have no problems with Johnstone and Toupou. Ashurst is questionable, seeing as Zeb Taia has some big stats for this year.

I'd agree with you there

I have no arguments with Tupou & Johnstone, they’ve had stellar seasons, but no way Matty Ashurst has been one of the two best second rowers in the league! Don’t get me wrong he’s a solid player who has had a decent season, but he misses too many tackles, makes too many errors & gives away too many penalties to be anywhere close to the dream team for me.
