Still looks like a full squad apart from Shenny. Be a lot of unhappy folk on here.

Re: Saints Friday
Have you ever thought what the Saint's game could do for our confidence win or lose? We may meet them again on the 13th of October. The game on Friday could play a big part in the player's mentality and confidence wether we win or lose if we meet Saints at the big one.

Re: Saints Friday
Saints rested a couple for the Wires game and will no doubt do the same for our game. Pragmatism needs to win out over momentum,we can field a competitive side without taking unnecessary risks. For a meaningless game Wires/Saints was pretty feisty, three yellows, penalties galore and a couple of injuries. Last thing we need is to get embroiled in a war of attrition. Only needs one of the Saints young guns to decide to try make a name for himself by decapitating Gale or Wattsy to sit Barba on his smug arse and we'd all be up in arms. Wigan is where we need to be focussing, four or five changes for me a pre requisite.
Re: Saints Friday
Any idea if we’re on sky v saints?

Re: Saints Friday
Yes deffo full strength, as said before we need to keep the momentum going and a good performance against saint will stand us in good stead.
I know there is a risk of injury but this is the business end and if injury ( god forbid ) happens then we cross that bridge when needed. Let's go for the win, beat them up a little bit.

Re: Saints Friday
I'd go with our strongest 100% fit team when we have had a weeks rest or owt this year the next game we haven't done right well.

Powell announced this earlier.

Re: Saints Friday
We are improving but remain far from the finished article and have a number of players like Gale, Minikin, Jesse coming back from recent injuries still needing game time to get match fit.
Full side for me.

They don't do it in other matches why would they do it now?tigerfeat wrote:can i ask how you would feel then in a meaningless match if watts and mcshane both got a one match ban for tipping someone in a tackle and gale matautia millington all picked up injuries that meant they had to miss the semi finalmart0042 wrote:And we should do. Anything could happen as it showed with Zak. Players get injured all the time both playing and training, at have a squad for that.
I trust DP knows what he is doing but I know we haven't played well after a week off in the last few years.
Re: Saints Friday
my belief is all dp is concerned with is getting his best team on the field against wigan im sure and certain powell knows what hes doing im just giving my opinion that its a meaningless match and i would not play are main players on friday
The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have

Saints were on the wind up against Wire on Saturday. They drew them in hook, line and sinker. I reckon they'll do the same on Friday.
