There’s absolutely no way Shenton will be released. He will stay on a lower contract. I don’t get why people have turned on him. I don’t think he does too much wrong.

Shenton could easily do 2 more full seasons IMO. Unless his back is chronic etc etc

before we go looking out side the club and having watched Robbie Storey this lad could be the replacement for Shenny when he does depart but I think there is one or two seasons left in Shenny

Spot on, minikin was brought in 2 years ago to work to replace webbo and an off season so get him up to speed.

In sure DP had a plan for each player at least 2 seasons in advance

Think Robbie needs to go out on loan to a Championship club first before being chucked straight in at SL level.

Apologies if its already in here but does it not seem strange how when we let JY go was stated we needed his quota spot? Surley if we are that skint keeping JY for another year would have been ideal? Also whos else has left this year? Is it just qlt webster and jy that have gone?

I would not give him another day he will never make a s/l player in fact I don’t think he is a nl1 player more fitting for open age rugby

The good thing about having quota space is we can look anywhere for players.

I would imagine we already have a name and signature for a player. It's a matter of who but letting webbo go means it's a back. If DP sees minikin as the centre then it means matautia is the fullback and we need a winger, with only Eden and sticks the senior wings.

We only need to tweak the squad. Our squad for this week is the strongest all year and with cook, Foster, ellis and oggy to come in, there's only webbo on his way out. That's 22 good super league players.

I wouldn’t play him in under 10 kids team, useless is an understatement.

Anyone else think that we've had the best out of Shenton? Time for him to move on IMO. Definately shouldnt have the captaincy next season. Has to go to Gale or Macca.

Yes we probably have had the best of him, but his best was an international centre. He is still class and anybody who plays outside him scores a boat load and his defence is still top notch, definitely got another season or two. Now the captaincy is a different matter as I have never seen him as a leader but he has led us through one of the best periods of our history and will go down as a legend, so maybe you don't need to scream and shout like all us numptys want to see.
