No Mata'uita in the squad for Friday according to Bbc,bizarre decision unless he's taken a knock.Good to see Wardle back all the same.

To many out injured, to have much of a realistic chance on friday, but could be a shock on the cards like Warrington.

Is it 7 currently injured?

Minnikin, Roberts, Gale, Millington, Foster, Cook & Matatatui.

We need 3 or 4 of them back soon, to finish in the top 4.

Are you for real? We need to win only 3 games (2 if huddsfield cannot win all 7 and turn around a 300 point difference). The top 4 is a given, finishing 2nd is our challenge.

We beat Wigan with a massivley weakened side last month. They are very beatable. Home advantage counts tbf but you can't write us off.
Top 4 is well within touching distance. Hudds got to win 3 more games than us out of 7 which is a massive ask. Saints will probably beat them this week so they could be looking down the barrel.
Our focus is trying to get 2nd which will be tough. And then regardless, hitting form going into play offs.

Kind of agree with some of the points here, credentials for the business end demand a win; either result is not terminal, but if you really want it and are prepared to go get it, Wigin are not what they once were.
It's over to 17 humans, men in the colours of Castleford to go make it happen and set our stall out.

I want to edit the above for being twee, but think it is true enough.

The question for me is; what is the potential impact on Wigan from the coaching announcement this week?

There could be the positive response, with the players getting a boost but equally, it could have a detrimental impact.

All Cas can do is go out and play their best but I have a sneaky feeling Wigan will nick it...

Don't think Wigan will nick it, with some quality players coming back I reckon they will win comfortably, Wigan by 18.

Head says Wigan.
Heart says cas.

Our 19 is good enough to beat the Wigan 19.
My main worry is our defence isnt good enough, asnt been most of the season.

Wigan by 11-15 points @ 13/2 is the bet I've had to ease any disappointment about tonight.

Gone with my head, not my heart.

I would love to be wrong. We have a chance but it's a huge game in the context of the top placings in September
