It's a guess from me but my money is on Pies away first up - but on Thursday - not Friday.

Saints, Wire & Catalans in the cup semi this Sunday & will be given longer to recover

SKY will want a big game to start proceedings. Huddersfield v Hull might be another option though.

It will all come out in the wash tomorrow lunchtime...

We could end up playing Saints away 2 weeks in a row on a Thursday / Friday night!!

What a joke of a fixture list!

We have to be prepared for whatever outcome.

If we finish 2nd / 3rd then thats fine but if, and its a big if we do finish 4th then having the same fixture the week before a Semi will devalue one of the fixtures. If people cannot see that then good on them.

Well you won’t devalue the semi final... if we win first two games we are in a strong position, it’s up to the lads to make sure the place we finish is our hands and not subject to other results going how we want them to go.

I completely agree its in our hand.

However i'm not looking at it from a Cas fan point of view, i'm looking at it as a rugby fan. The same with Warrington playing Hull on the Thursday after a potential Wembley appearance....that fixture could be the key fixture of all the Super 8's.

As I've said, if we finish 2nd or 3rd, it doesn't matter. I just don't want any fixtures devalued or any teams at a disadvantage. All fixtures should be worked out so all team have the best possible chance of putting on a show.

I hope people aren't misconstruing this as me being worried about us, the Cas fan in me thinks we can win all 7 games and go all the way if we play how we know we can play.

The rugby fan in me feels abit short changed.

Only issue for me is the first two are games we really do need to win and two of the toughest to boot, but we are unlikely to have Gale back for these.

Gale is aiming to be back for Round 1. I'm confident we'll have him back for at least one of the games.

Decent I think. Warrington week after the final where they possibly will be and 5 winnable games on bounce in middle.

My take on the fixture list:

Two big games to kick us off. Win both of those and hope Catalans do us a favour v Warrington and we could be 6 points ahead of them with 5 games to go.

Finishing with Saints is a blessing as they're likely to rest players. If we need to win to get 2nd that could be a godsend for us.

The semis are this week. We play Wigan first up and they aren't in the cup semis so there's no benefit there. :)

They could be in the final, though, and so could Catalans if they beat Saints. Could end up playing the cup finalists either side of the final.

We could play saints 19’s and the mental block of playing away at saints would trigger in our players psyche.
It’s gonna take some breaking, one day it will, not sure it’ll be this season tough.
