Great news on millington we have a couple of weeks from widnes to the next game so could be ready for super 8s. Fantastic news as I thought him cook and jesse had season ending injuries.
For gods sake don't risk jesse on that pitch at widnes. Why would you risk mcmeeken too?
Out of bodies and we need the 2 pts big time.
Would mean playing Maher and Springer if they are with us still

Def miss Cook. Wish he was five years younger.
Don't rush Millington back even if he misses first two games of Super 8's
Same with Jesse leave him to recover and don't play him on Sunday. McMeeken should be good to go though, wasn't far off the squad last week.

Prob Springer although we might need him. Unless we recall Maher and/or Douglas instead

Gutted for Cookie, but Mitch Clarke steps into his shoes. Great news with JSL and Millo not being as bad as they looked, and good news about McMeeken - a welcome boost back into the squad. The question is though - do you risk anyone on that iPitch or give them another couple of weeks to make sure fully fit for the 8’s? I’d be tempted to leave Jesse rested.

Got to show proof on this sort or nobody believes a word pal.
Will be great if we get Gale and Roberts back too.....
Bring on the Super 8s I say as long as we don't pick up more injuries. Been 1 of them seasons.

Totally agree. He is a very important player for us. Dependable. Powell trusts him. Professional; runs good strong lines; gets through work and does his job getting us on the front foot. Will be a big loss so I am really disappointed for him and the team going into the business end.
If Springer is going as suggested then we could do with another forward coming in. By Friday!

To allow Springer to leave before end of season would be sheer lunacy with the injuries we have at present and could get during the Super 8s.
Whats the rush to off load him?

Powell has no faith in him. Fitness wise he is not up to it in Powell's eyes nor does he seem to trust his temprement.

Roberts has 6 weeks, its on cas page - injury update
Recovered from leg injury and then torn his pec. Wasn't he on instagram through Gale or someone benching some stupidly high kg weights recently?
I wouldn't think that players decide what weights to lift. It's a specialist business using weights.
I've always said Ben Roberts body is too toned. He clearly wants the perfect look, which is fine. But maybe sometimes he pushes his body too far, and maybe it's not the right thing for this sport.
Don't think he's too toned. Look at Galey, the guys upper body is the most ripped and toned in the entire squad. Not an ounce of fat on him.

There's some truth in what Casmoley is saying - you can pull an elastic band really really tight, however it will snap if it gets too much. The body must be the same - there needs to be some flexibility to absorb the forces affected on it during a game (and even heavy training) - maybe Roberts is like a rubber band?

Should be 2 weeks max for full heal. Depends then on fitness.
