Kicking Game...

Post by SuffolkTiger » 17 Jun 2018, 22:24

Positives:
- we lead SL in terms of % tries from kicks
- our kicking near the opponents try line seems to have improved vs last year

Negatives:
- no variety in our restarts - my daughter could catch every one as they are that tame and predictable
- we keep getting caught with opponents restarts that drop in no mans land up the middle about 30 yards out
- have we had a 40/20 yet?

I know we have half backs out but we need to sort this

We need players back on the field and losing potentially four more today won't help us at all. Considering we've two young players in pivotal positions and a mash up of players in and out of position we're still managing to pick up some wins and points. KR could have taken that win today and we were lucky in the end to walk away with a point.

Can't be too harsh on the final result, without subs on the bench it's always difficult to go the full 80. Hopefully we'll manage to pick up a win next week against Wigan.

Fringe players need game time and are getting it. It bodes well for the future.
