So where was these Rumours last week then?
Inevitable that some sort of rumour would surface as soon as it was announced that wane was leaving
The most sensible rumour to believe right now is Shaun Edward's returning to league to take over at Wigan

Could be something in this, Powell may believe he as taken Cas as far as he can and the chance to coach one of the glamour clubs could be very appealing to him, just like it did Raper our last decent coach.
Knew it wouldnt take long ...

I agree, doubt they'll risk betts.

that's not as daft as it sounds, I always thought betts would serve his apprenticeship and end up at wigan. is he ugly enough though.

Zac saying he wants to win the M.O.S.
Plus all this talk of Barba becoming this years M.O'S.
I personally think either of these or any player guilty of drug taking should be exempt from being nominated for such an award.

I hear Powell prefers KFC or Pizza Hut, both serve Pepsi.
I'm told Zac is more into McD's or Subway because he prefers Coke
Have to admit I grew up in an era when the advert on TV said they would like to buy the world a coke and keep it company

If Wigan came in for Powell does anyone think he would go?
Bigger club, better players and more money to spend?
Would this be a step up or sideways?
How many coaches would turn Wigan down with a big pay rise in the offing?
Does anyone think that Wigan won’t be interested in DP?
Look to the future, which club has the brighter one just now?
I really hope he stays with Cas but if he decides to go, if offered of course, then who could blame him if he went?

Av said it before and i will say it again , I don't think Daryl is motivated by money . He is very well settled in the area and has been for a long time. I am sure he is a man who will be loyal to Cas . The only reason I could imagine him going elsewhere is if there is a major disagreement with chairman or directors as I believe there was at Featherstone . If you think about it , he was very good at Feath and am sure clubs were sniffing around but never moved anywhere till the fallout

not sure for how long though. they've incurred heavy losses the last few years and owe millions. lenagan seems to be getting desperate for money and they've no ground to sell this time.
incidentally does any one know how much rent they pay for the DW?

Just reading an interview Zak did and i find this real interesting;
I tried to stay at Cas, i said to them (doesn't state who) 'Look, can you keep me on, pay me minimum wage, can you keep me on...'
I expressed that i wanted to stay. They did offer me a contract but it was a low one. My solicitors' fees were through the roof and the contract didn't match up to the fees, so i said 'Look, i can't take that because my fees are nearly as much as my wage'. I think they understood and then for four or five months, i heard nothing.
