Contradicting yourself there Gateman saying don’t go out later and panic but but go out now and panic buy. I’d rather us ride out this season and spend the time researching all options before signing someone.

As long as we’re in a position to pounce when the availability is there, and we’ve got Jon & the guys with their fingers on the pulse with agents, clubs and players, I’ll be happy with that for now.

I’d be desperately disappointed if saints or hull etc announced they’d ‘stole in and quickly completed a deal’ for Mata’utia or A.N Others whom are currently ‘seemingly unavailable’.

This is one of the big reasons why Jon was brought in IMO - use not only his skills but his contact list.

Wouldn’t it be fabulous if we had a huge database of every single RL Player amateur / age 15 upwards...from every corner of the world....like the FM Database that Everton use(d)

Oh I wasn't suggesting we sign him. Just pointing out that there's talent out there. More than likely he would've been better than we've tried there this season. Yeah, poor Chandog. Had to look twice when I saw him in the halves.

I thought a lot of what was good about us last night came from having QLT at the back. Came into the line and was talking, organising and read our plays well. Dropped ball aside he was brilliant and on what I've seen so far should have been in SL much earlier in his career. What a difference an actual specialist fullback makes.

Yeah its amazing no super league clubs taken a chance with him before now , not seen trys again but his try looked like hardaker move from last year, massive boost having a proper full-back in place now for rest of season

Full back debate over, at least for this season. Can't see why QLT cannot be the man for next year either.

Q will be 34 soon. We need a younger player with loads of potential.Q should just be used for this year.

For me I wouldn't be keeping Q for our fullback for 2019 but def as cover. Let's see how the rest of the season goes though before we jump in and offer the deal straight away.

I'd be happy with q, abbey and turner fighting it out. none on huge contracts, two young lads learning from q. Healthy competition.

Defensively QLT looked short of pace/energy when following the ball close to our line. Hardaker and rat boy ghost along the line. Maybe it's a bit of lack of match fitness or am. I being too hard.

first week training at full bsck with only three weeks at a super league club. I'd say judge in another month consistently at full back. his try was luke gale / Zak hardaker-esque.
