Doesn’t excite hearing about Mamo but he is only 23 and if he gets a hair cut Powell could do a job. The hair would have to go though .. deal buster lol

Not seen loads of mamo, however I do remember him scoring a hat trick against us last year, certainly looked to have the poachers instinct.
One advantage of mamo over mead or someone from.Aus is that he is already used to the UK lifestyle, so there wouldn't be any real shocks / lifestyle adjustment which you sometimes get.

Watched him today at center, though not his preferred position, his defence was weak.

Can't believe people are disregarding Mamo and some on yesterdays performance at Magic. He's 23 and a raw talent, just needs moulding by a good coaching staff. You've got to realise, since he's arrived at Huddersfield, he's been in a losing camp with a losing mentality. When he burst on the scene last year, he was scoring for fun against some big teams (us included), looks a shell of that player now the rugby's been knocked out of Huddersfield (probably doesn't help having no permanent coach). I'd be quite pleased with him, he'd put tries on a plate for Eden all day long.

Reading the Huddersfield forum on RLFans, Hudds fans seem intent that they are losing Mamo and young Wardle (the centre) to us.

I like Mamo but definitely suspect defensively. Not on yesterday's performance alone. Look at Hudds highlights. Speak to Hudds fans. Needs plenty of work on his technique and decision making.
Young enough to develop. And we have Powell so..

So if Mamo needs to develop further is he the man Cas need?

My view is we need a full-back that has already developed and merely needs to learn our style of play, not one that is still learning the game. We have one of those in Turner.

Mamo looks a great support playing full back but not sure he as the passing skill set to fit in to the way Powell likes to play and if we did sign him we would surely need a back up also with his injury woes.

That means meads out of the running then because mead to me is more of a running full back than a passing 1

I really cant understand why we haven't tried Turner at fullback . I guess theirs a reason but I would love to know what it is. I am sure he is not the finished product as yet but neither is Golding or Walker for Leeds but they bring em on !!

Id take mead over mamo all day long theres a good 2years left in mead so time to develop our own fb turner but as id assume mamo will be the cheaper option i think we'll be trying for him.

the only reason that we have not tried our under 19 international full back in his position must be Daryl having watched the lad training thinks he is not ready as yet, but we will never know if the lad doesn't get his chance, but I will be the first to admit our coach knows a tad more than me
