Spot on about Luke's distance kicking - it's the worst of any half back in SL. Kick offs the same.

I'd also add we were:
- out tackled
- bullied up the middle by their fat lads
- both centres intimidated & bewildered
- Benny totally ineffective

I've never understood why we kick directly to the back three instead of finding grass.
We lack X Factor (we all know who)
Our RHS is offering nothing however I think Meeks is a better impact player than a 80min man
Trueman is not a fullback.
Alot of questions to be asked after tonight in quite a few areas

Based on that performance:
Webster
Milner
Shenton and;
Roberts
Would all be dropped.

However, it was one of those games and it would be a little harsh to look at it in isolation. Based on the season so far i think Powell does need to have a serious look at Milner, the needless penalties are becoming unforgivable IMO. I think we've got plenty of loose forward options which would offer more at the moment.

A centre with size and pace is sadly lacking pluss a no 6 who can create and make a break seems ages since we saw both

We have the center in wardle.
Deffo need a 6, where the heck was Roberts, always hiding against top teams.

Agree with most posts tonight, but not Millingtons lack of effort. For me Ellis has to come in for Roberts, once again missing in action, just coasts thru games, absolutely stealing a wage at back end of his career. Don't get McMeekan starting on the bench, play Wardle in centres for Shenton, who looks like that ACL injury from 2 yrs ago has caught up with him, genuinely would not be disappointed or surprised if he retired at end of season. Webbo was uncharacteristically poor tonight, sometimes not entirely his fault, but probably needs a rest. Hopefully Moors n Lefao back soon, I'd drop Milner in a heart beat for them, becoming a liability. Still not sure about Truman at FB, seems to run into other players channels when coming into line. No panic button pressed but defo a wake up call.

Roberts has just been anonymous this season id like to see Ellis back in and it gives us another option on the last tackle.
Ref was poor tonight we didn’t get a fair crack at it. We are really missing Eden imo

You don’t win anything in April!!! COYF

Give plenty of credit to Wane, they really isolated Webster and Burgess was just far too quick for him, but that came from Gales poor kicking putting Wigans back 3 in plenty of space.
Milner is the same every week, plenty of effort but undoes any good he does by giving away needless penalties, I would certainly drop him , Foster offers far more and gives far better value for money.
Roberts went missing yet again and we may as well go back to Ellis , at least he offers a kicking threat.
Plenty for DP to work on this week and our lack of speed in the backs must be a concern, Hardaker had defences worried with his pace and we haven't found away to play without him, now good defences like Wigan are defending us with ease.
If we are serious of being a top 4 team things need to change.

Too many errors, too many silly penalties, too many of experienced players went missing (Roberts,Shenton) or had mare's (Webster,Gale & his kicking game).

Question is do you wield the axe to some or give them a chance to redeem themselves next Friday?

Roberts varies from diabolical to none existent week in week out yet retains his spot. Jake Webster has probably had 1 bad game in 100 games for us and has varied from been consistent and good to stand out.

Agree totally. They were the better side. Not by 3 scores though but still a disappointing swcond half with too many negatives. Plenty to come from us I feel but too many poor to average performances tonight.

How anyone can bemoan the lads to such an extent is pretty bad imo.

Roberts wasn’t great. Gale neither. But the kicking game was hampered by enthusiastic Wigan D and lack of field position!!!

For the first time ever, Webster looked his age. He is a great player and bloke, but, a centre opposite him with pace and a decent fend and he’s isolated. I wouldn’t renew his deal -I’d nring in a dynamite outside back from DU.

Trueman isn’t the answer. We need to find money for s fullback urgently. That’s the Apriority for me!?

We looked a bit jaded after the first few sets. The first few sets were tremendous.

Think we’ll see a massive I,prove, ent next week.

Nring a full back In. PLEASE.

Webster had a bad game and I might be tempted to give him a rest next week but i'd put him straight back in after that as I have full confidence in him.wigan just a bit too good for us and to be fair I think saints or them will be champs this year.we are a competitive solid team just lacking in something to really challenge this year.yet another scoreless second half-this must really be a concern to powell and the coaching staff.you can't win every game so hopefully we rebound next week.

Webster had a bad game yes but lets not throw the baby out with the bath water here. He rarely lets us down and will ne mortified at that, he deserves support and the chamce to put it right which i’m sure he’ll do.

Roberts though is another matter. It’s about time the hide and seek champion got put out to grass.

We had too many players off their game tonight and were beaten by the better team but lets not forget we also had a short turnaround after a gruelling Easter programme in which we played 2 games in horrendous conditions. I’m therefore surprised Powell didn’t rotate the team a bit more.

Also whilst Hicks wasn’t great and was not the reason we lost his penalty against Webbo in the 1st half for interference on the last was laughable. He never changed his line and the pathetic Sky commentary team could only say he ‘accelerated’ and that’s why the penalty was given! So you can’t run fast now...seriously you couldn’t make this crap up sometimes. Is it a wonder the game is losing credibility.

Totally agree, Webster had a mare but we can forgive that as he is normally excellent.

Roberts just not doing it at the moment and Gale kicking is woeful at best.

Some soul searching for DP this week.

you don't need to be an expert to see what s up missing an attacking full back as totally frown are game were miles away from last years attack dry pitch today no excuse about playing in bad conditions same result no secound half attack at all . said not getting a top class centre would come back and bite us half way through season . Future aim as to be to sign attacking fullback and big go forward centre who can also pass . If it means off loading some forwards for salary cap.

Jake had his worst game in a Cas shirt, but as every supporter knows, he’s usually one of our most consistent players in attack and defence, it’s not the time to write Jake off yet, I’m sure he’ll come back with another barnstorming game v Wakey!
