Not saying I'd want/not want this but I'm going Westerman. Best mates with Watts and a Cas lad. Free Wardle up to play in the centres when Webbo retires.
Buy I'd player Foster in front of him everyday

nothing to do with Wardle at centre. I'd say more a replacement for Milner or Jesse who may leave.
Re: Well, who is it?
Its obvious we cant keep signing players without a clear out , some of our players must be wondering if they are going to be let go, the club must be having a hell of a job finding clubs for our fringe players to play in, if Jesses wage demands are too high he might be on his way I would hate us to loose Milner 100% work rate and home grown yes he does give a few daft penalties away but that can be excused with the amount of work he gets through

I'm not sure why we would let Jesse go for having a high wage demand then sign westy who has a high wage demand... only difference is where they're from. I though Powell was trying to keep the squad together for a long time to build on that and create history. Similar to Leeds over the years keeping the key players for years.
Re: Well, who is it?
I think you are right Casmoley. Certainly about Jesse, I can’t see any other reason for signing Joe. I’ve also heard rumours of Milner to the NRL.Casmoley wrote:Riggins wrote:Not saying I'd want/not want this but I'm going Westerman. Best mates with Watts and a Cas lad. Re: Well, who is it?
Although Toronto have agreed to release Westerman, surely he can't be on his way to us?
I won't pretend to know anything about what cash players are on, but from what people have been saying on here regarding Jesse's contract and his agent trying to get the most money for him, surely we won't sign Westerman, who only last week was reported, that his wage demands have put off several Super League clubs.
Jesse gone, Westerman in? surely not

I'm thinking JSL to saints, and we keep Milner and sign Westy.

Not the best scenario, especially as green and springer aren't getting game time, but it could be worse.Tigerade wrote:I'm thinking JSL to saints, and we keep Milner and sign Westy.

What if Milner as told the club he wants to go play in the NRL.
My take on it is, and this as come from me, no inside info.
Jesse will stay. Milner to leave.
That’s just my gut feeling, I do hope Milner will stay with the club, he as a testimonial not far away.
Re: Well, who is it?
Jesse could be the smiling assassin for all we know.
Based on knowing he’s built up a cult following, he might be now demanding £120k over 5years!
DP knows the value of players. Let Jesse go if he’s even slightly taking the P.
I would put money on westermans salary demands lowering. Perhaps he wants 70k over 3 years. Which may place him in the £ bracket of which jesse is on CURRENTLY.
joe has more skills in his locker than Jesse. A fit joe is the better player. Even at prop.

You'd have to think the 3 clubs after Westerman would be us, Wakey and Leeds.
Playing wise Westerman is no doubt better than Jesse for me, but off field you probably couldn't ask for a better bloke than Jesse.

This is my gut feeling, if we retain the "first option" on him if he returns to SL, i would never mind a player going to the NRL to better themselves.old cas lass wrote:Tigerade wrote:I'm thinking JSL to saints, and we keep Milner and sign Westy.

Re: Well, who is it?
It is also worth noting that Joe's agent is Andy Clarke. I'd be surprised if we are even talking to him after the Solomona saga.
Re: Well, who is it?
when you look at the standard of players at the nrl clubs who cant get a game every week it would surprise me if a club over there looked to sign milner ...if hes going over to just give it a go good luck to him hes a fine playerold cas lass wrote:Tigerade wrote:I'm thinking JSL to saints, and we keep Milner and sign Westy.

Re: Well, who is it?
I think he's a great player but I can't see Milner going to the NRL. I'm not sure where that rumour has come from.
Re: Well, who is it?
RE Westerman another I was told is that both us and Wakefield had enquired about Joe but could not match the wages he was on with Toronto don't shoot the messenger
