Not even a clap for Daryl Powell as he walk across the field.

The lads who start the chants and songs etc were criticized last week for what/who they were chanting so perhaps they couldn't be bothered this week?

Also it's Catalan who only brought a coach full of kids

And the atmosphere at home matches isn't great anyway bar your big games Wigan Leeds etc

to be fair they're dammed if they do, dammed if they don't. I'm sure they'll all be [REMOVED] up away at Wigan next week singing Shaun wanes a c**t and you'll all be kicking off about it.

If they sang for the team were EVERYBODY can join in, you know like the kids.
I’m not fazed by songs, I don’t like some, especially ones with foul language.
Sadly the youth of today think it’s big and clever.

But refusing to chant and get behind the boys today was pathetic.

I don't support abusing our own fans and I don't sing the Shaun Wane song. Not sure why all you that are moaning can't start a chant of Come on you fords! instead of relying on a group of lads that you clearly don't like because they say naughty words at a rugby match.

Felt the entire crowd was flat, think it was collective nerves. Not really a surprise given the way we have been playi8ng this year! Which Cas team was going to turn up? Were we going to nearly blow it agaain?
Hopefully we have now turned the corner. The better weather and dry tracks will enable us to start playing the "Cas Way" and the crowd will relax and get behind the team.

Moley that sounds silly.
As for starting a chant some did near me half a dozen or so.
But a silent protest by the so called best fans in the league, wonder what the players think.

They have plenty of conservative and family friendly chants that half the crowd don't join in with

Like moley as said they're damned if they do and damned if they don't

They probably just want the fans to get behind them and give them support. No doubt the chants will spur them on.

If your gonna sing foul mouth songs at your own fans then your going to get slated by some and rightly so. Then to not sing nothing is just childish.

Prob shows the intelligence of the people responsible.

You say plenty of songs? :-k

It was pretty clear it was a silent protest by the collective behind the sticks. I don't have a problem with that...in fact now would be a good time to list the songs , and start and be creative and make up some more (clean of course) :)

maybe they've just decided to enjoy the rugby and not feel the need to sing like most do. Even at the end of the game when usually everyone sings sweet Caroline it was half hearted..

Or maybe they need to grow up and grow a brain and all stick together like we should do

works both ways, at Huddersfield songs like stand up if you're castleford (family friendly, everyone but the disabled can join in) and hald a dozen people stood up. Yes some songs are pathetic, yes they probably do rely on a good drinking session to be in full swing, but you can't have your cake and eat it.

it's simple. if 15 lads at the back start singing about Wane let them, when they sing come on you fords join in! Or even better, if they sing about Wane, sing come on you fords over them!

There's just a lot of apathy for the Catalans home game. It's a dismal fixture every year.

Hopefully won't be one next year if they carry on like they are.
