Swapping him for Moore is probably the best bit of business Powell has ever done. Utter steal that.
Only reason he's not in an England shirt is the sheer wealth the English have at hooker. He's an utter game changer for us - he's good around the ruck, has a great kicking game and in defence is an absolute lion.
I agree with much of this, but far too much is being made kf the referee. Hicks was poor but not 3 paragraphs of text worth. Cas were poor and that's why we lost.callum_walker wrote:My thoughts on Friday night's game: https://uk.blastingnews.com/sport/2018/ ... 21265.html

Re: Articles
^^ Agreed. Hicks gave us nowt, but he wasn’t the one who missed 2 one on one tackles that led to tries, or let a halfback walk through 4 defenders flapping their arms at thin air. He wasn’t the one who knocked on twice when we were in their 20 with a chance of putting pressure on, and he certainly wasn’t the one who kept kicking the ball for catching practice for their back 3. Even with the few bad calls from the officials we could have been in with a shout of winning that if we held on to the ball and made our tackles. No need for panic though, we’ll be challenging at the back end I’m confident of that.

Before anyone asks, yes I did forget Sinfield! I was going to put him in my halfback one, but then was going to put him in this one only to forgetcallum_walker wrote:Five of the best loose forwards https://uk.blastingnews.com/sport/2018/ ... 19155.html

Well Lo on the wing lasted a long time! Why Castleford's recent player troubles are damaging the club: https://uk.blastingnews.com/sport/2018/ ... 30017.html
Re: Articles
My god, you do over egg the pudding. Please expand on how the loss of a player with ONE first team appearance has thrown the back line into disarray yet make a massive thing of a youngster coming into the squad for his potential debut? Also, Rangi’s indiscretion that led to his suspension from the game happened whilst he played for another club so why use that to try and justify the merits of such an article?
Re: Articles
While I agree that the conclusion is a little sensational for my tastes - I think our recent on field achievements do still overshadow these player off-field issues - I agree with the sentiment of the article.
Unfortunately these off-field problems are getting old really fast, and in my opinion they do have an emotional impact on the club as a whole, both fans and players. Zak and Rangi came with baggage that we all hoped the club could help them overcome. They both went on to have further problems, whether at the club, or shortly after leaving, and in Zak's case, in the run up to arguably the biggest moment in the club's whole history.
This whole Lo "assisting police with their investigation" thing has come out of the blue.
Let's hope it is resolved quickly and what is being investigated is not serious enough to warrant criminal charges or club/rlfc sanctions against the player.

Re: Articles
I had to have my say on this issue. I've criticised the club in the past, but I still believe that it was the right decision to sack him. If this was any other player, he would have been shown the door as soon he had failed the test, no player is bigger than the club and the fact that he still showed no remorse for his actions shows how much he values our club. No matter how good he is, he still ruined the end of what could have been a truly memorable season. Yes, he was vital to us getting to the Grand Final, but the fact that he cared more about taking drugs than helping his team shows the club were right to show him the door. https://uk.blastingnews.com/sport/2018/ ... 40421.html
