5 games In

Post by InTheKnow » 23 Mar 2018, 23:54

So we are 5 games in. Still waiting to field a full strength team and we currently have 4 wins from 5 having played Saints and Leeds away as well as Hull at home. We could not of asked for much more in my eyes.

Once we get some players back we will get even better.

Jy had a great game on the right wing in my eyes. Nearly stopped that try at end and looked good under the high ball. Put performed Clare for me. I know Clare had it tough against Watkins though.

Not sure what others think but we need to start taking 2 points more when we have leads of 14 etc... Could of come to bite us in the end.

Re the 2 points when on offer.
Not taking them could and nearly did cost us.
If Watkins had his kicking boots on we would have lost that game.
I sometimes can’t understand what goes through there heads.

Anyhow, don’t matter now, we have the win in the bag.
Now onto wakey, who lost tonight.

4 wins from 5 as said is v good. Nowhere near where we can be performance wise. Although opening 15 mins we looked sharp. Some devastating stuff. The capitulation/second half really took the shine off it but I will take any old win tbh. Esp against the loiners.
Thought Ellis looked weak defensively. Minikin too at points. They worked our right edge and put us under lots of pressure.
Impressed with Trueman. Mcmeeken looked strong first half.
Long way to go still. Need bodies back. Shenny's defence was sorely missed.

Is it possible we will be missing Webster and Shenton vs Wakey. That could be tough.

Comments like that can come back to haunt us. Wakey look OK this year and with our current injury situation I wouldn't say.... It's only wakey.
