Forward Pack

Post by Spanishtiger » 15 Mar 2018, 01:35

Watts, Moors, Millington, Cook, Springer, Green, Clark
Jesse, Oggy, Wardle, McMeeken, Foster
Milner, Massey

McShane at 9 obviously.

Who would you start with and who gets on the bench ?

Think I'd pick Watts, McShane, Cook, McMeeken, Holmes, Milner starting with Moors, JSL, Millo and Wardle on the bench.

Massey or Foster to slot in when Watts is suspended !
Springer, Green and Clark on dual reg/loan for now.

What does everyone think ?

Wow there is some serious competition for places now!

I’d have to go for..

Watts McShane Cook
Wardle Holmes
Milner

McMeeken moors JSL Millington on the bench. But then I feel harsh as owt leaving Massey out!

I would agree with this. It would be harsh to leave Foster out too. A very good problem to have

wow indeed we were just missing that liam watts type prop , its going to be very hard to get a spot in the starting 17 unless your playing right at the top of your game , when we bring a full back in i think theres every chance either roberts or ellis could be on the bench
The only negative i could see is jessie maybe leaving at some point

Guarantee we will see at least 1 fresh face each week. We have the depth to rest each forward every (starting) forward every 4th/5th week.

Good cover in the centres now as well as Jessie could go back to SR and Wardle to centre.

I'd go

Watts mcshane millo
Wardle meeks
Milner

Bench

Moore Jesse Massey Foster

Convert for all forward positions and centre meaning you can move around your backs if injury strikes

watts McShane millo
meeks wardle
foster

moore jesse milner holmes
somebody said play meeks on bench no way. Think foster as makings off a proper hard hitting lose forward spoilt for chose really not even including massey and cook who being outstanding last two years

Hope Massey doesn't lose out

Can see how important this signing is - playing foster at Prop shows we were longing for Liam

Makes it seem very likely we DID offer cash for walmsley...!

Full back and we're sorted

Some good options in the pack now we have a genuine top class prop on board. I'd go with
Watts McShane Millington
JSL McMeeken
Foster
Bench Milner Wardle Moors Cook

Can't see where Massey fits in with Wattsy signing. He's never a prop, doesn't have the power for it, nor does he have the skill or mobility (like Milner) to be a loose. For me now he becomes a bit part player, we have better quality in front of him.

My forwards would be;

P: Watts
H: McShane
P: Millington
SR: Wardle
SR: McMeekan
LF: Milner

Moors
Jesse
Cook
Foster/Holmes

Foster/Holmes
Massey
Green

Massey will still play every week....and rightly so.

Listen to DP talk about Massey, he is one of the first on the team sheet.

Massey has probs been our best most consistent forward this year him and millo were the catalyst to our start vs salford imo. I would go with this,
Millo
Macca
Massey
Wardle/meeks
Oggy
Foster

Watts, moors, jessy, milner bench Cooky n meeks would be the ones who id probs leave out to start but some good possibilty of getting some good rotation so not to burn our pack out. Its all to play for and when you add mitch and gadders to that its one hell of a pack.

Vs Wakey if all fit I would go:

Massey
McShane
Millington
Holmes
Mcmeekan
Milner

Watts
Moors
Jesse
Wardle

Cook/Foster if Wardle isn't fit.

Moors and Watts coming on after 20/25mins. The power them 2 have would hurt anyone at that stage.

The DP famous 4 interchanges at once would be better lol
