McMeeken raised his game second half...as did Gale.
Out of interest how many of players who went to the World Cup have hit the ground running in 2018?

It's called taking tough decisions for the good of the overall team.HuddsTigers wrote:Why are people so keen to tout players out? Thank Christ some of the fans aren’t in charge - we would have no team spirit or confidence left.
McMeeken, if regularly playing well, will end up touting the NRL himself my blinkered friend.
Nobody is touting anybody from our club anyway, and if they were, discussions would be conducted in the strictest of confidence. I'm not sure if you are aware, but the coach's talk privately regularly.
Additionally, the forum is a place for discussion and observations.
I would laugh my cream crackers off at you if a swap deal was done this year.
How's Steve bearing up by the way, do you know? Have you sucked up to MG yet? Haha

And what if the player wasn’t interested or didn’t want to go? You are stuck up with an unhappy player, who feels unwanted, who won’t play for the coach and will leech money out the club as he sits on his contract.
And what effect will that have on the good of the overall team then? McMeeken is a good player and I’d rather see him at CTRLFC. He’s just signed a new deal and is happy here. The NRL is a long way off yet.
The club are not going to get rid of any players unless it’s beneficial for the player and he wants to go. And any replacement has to fit in with the salary cap. More than likely we will add to the squad later in the season with someone getting little game time or picked up from the NRL.
And oh, aren’t you witty. I haven’t heard jokes like that since like, oh, last week. Perhaps I just have a mutual respect with the leaders at our club? I’m happy I have the trust and confidence of people within our family club. That’s what’s good about our club. CEO, sponsor, fan, player - you all work and stick together and all get along. No one above anyone.

I’d be looking at Ben Jones-Bishop.

I'm not joining this debate to berate anyone but I think you will always have to acknowledge your previous reluctance to criticise RW when he was in charge and questioned those of us that did. Sometimes you have to ask the awkward and difficult questions so we can move forward.HuddsTigers wrote:...And oh, aren’t you witty. I haven’t heard jokes like that since like, oh, last week. I’ve acknowledged in the past that I was naive at times relating to aspects of the club and the new stadium. That being said, I do think RW was let down by other people around him too.Flat Capper wrote:I'm not joining this debate to berate anyone but I think you will always have to acknowledge your previous reluctance to criticise RW when he was in charge and questioned those of us that did.
